We could not have been happier with our choice of accommodations for our stay in Jersey City. It’s always a bit stressful trying to book a rental online when you are not familiar with the area. Communication with Kristina and Owen was exceptional. The response to our emails and questions was always Immediate.
The accommodations are as beautiful as the pictures make them appear. The layout was perfect for all of us to gather in the kitchen area while preparing our meals, but also great to close the doors to the living room area if someone wanted to go to bed earlier. One thing that is not shown in the pictures is a beautiful loveseat in the kitchen area that pulls out into a double-sleeper. The pull-out had a super thick topper so all of the beds were incredibly comfortable.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need – dishes, pots and pans, silverware, wine glasses and openers. My kids loved the drawer-style microwave oven. Having a washer and dryer available for a family of five is always a bonus. The brownstone has cable, Netflix, large TVs and a wireless connection. The entire brownstone was impeccably clean.
There is a small organic grocery store and a liquor store just around the corner. Many restaurants are within walking distance. Our family really enjoyed the Brownstone Diner just two blocks away through the park. We were also able to catch the last week of the farmer’s market in the park across the street. The PATH train is a short walk away and gave us easy access into the city.
The cost of our stay was far less than two hotel rooms in the area and provided us with the opportunity to prepare our own meals and have an incredible amount of space to relax and visit.
Our thanks to Kristina and Owen for making our visit to Jersey City and New York so wonderful. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends and family for future stays.
This house is everything you could want and more! We loved out stay. The house is beautiful and spacious.
Its conveniently located near Grove StreetPath for easy access to New Uork City via either the train to 33rd street or World Trade Center.
The area is good and quiet.
We will definitely be staying again.
Thank you so much Kristina and Owen!
If you're looking for character, charm, comfort, cleanliness, and convenience, this is your best choice!
Our family was in the NYC area visiting some friends and we opted to stay in Jersey City instead of one of the high priced hotels in Manhattan. What a great decision we made! This property had all the urban charm we hoped for. We were a 10 minute walk to the Hudson River ferry and another 5 minute ride to Manhattan. No hassles!
The apartment was beautiful and clean and more economical than one of the big hotels, with a lot more room!
I highly recommend this property and will definitely be back! The owners are very cordial and accommodating!
This property is everything it says it is....and more!
My daughter and I stayed here for 5 weeks this summer. This home is even more lovely in person. The attention to detail from the beautiful tiled foyer to the paint colors, crown molding, fixtures and finishes in the luxurious bathrooms, made this a home away from home.
This area of Jersey City is beautiful. Great restaurants and shops already exist with many continuing to come into the area. Van Vorst Park is right across the street where there is a Saturday farmer's market that has fresh produce, and food vendors. The town home is walking distance to Liberty Park. We watched an incredible 4th of July fireworks display and concert put on by Jersey City with the Statue of Liberty in the background. It's also a far less crowded location to take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
We commuted daily into Manhattan. The Grove Street Path Station is safe and convenient. A few blocks from the town home and a short, 20 minute ride to 23rd street, for $2.50 each way. The Grove Street station also has direct routes to World Trade Center and 33rd Street.
There is so much more I could say about our experience. It was above and beyond our expectations. It was so nice to leave 'the city" at the end of a long day and have a beautiful neighborhood to walk through on our way home and a spacious, comfortable place to cook dinner and unwind for the night.
This rental was the perfect location for our recent vacation to New York. It is just a few blocks from the PATH train, making it easy to get in and out of the city. On top of that, the space is gorgeous. Kristina and Owen were wonderful hosts and have done an amazing job restoring this Brownstone. We can tell that the improvements will continue with the addition of a deck. It was just what we needed for our family of four plus the grandparents. We would certainly stay here again. Nearby are many great restaurants, wine stores, bagel places, places to buy groceries, etc. Don't worry about packing heavy - you will have easy access to anything you need.
This is a great place to stay while visiting NYC and our family in Jersey City. The brownstone is in a safe, quiet neighborhood with the very nice Van Vorst Park across the street. On Saturday there was a farmers market with flowers, fruits, and veggies for sale. We did not have a car and used the PATH which was within easy walking distance. On the way home it was convenient to stop for dinner at a restaurant and at a small grocery to get food for breakfast. The apartment is very clean, has a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. The baths are large and there is plenty of closet space. The owners have made a notebook with useful info and area maps. We enjoyed looking into the backyard at blooming flowers and greenery. We hope to stay here again!
