Welcome to most peaceful getaway located directly on the beautiful intracoastal waterway. This is a great base of operation for fishing/shrimping/crabbing/boating Bull's Bay, intracoastal waterway, Charleston jetties, and more. One hour boat ride to Charleston harbor to the south and McClellanville to the north for boating, fishing, dining at waterfront restaurants such as those at Shem Creek, Old Mt. Pleasant, McClennanville, Georgetown, and more. By boat, you have access to public islands/state parks for 'private' island and beach access less than 5 minutes away (Bull's Island, Cape Romain Wildlife refuge).

This 3400 sft. house is a newly custom built home. Each bedroom has its own full bath and a view of the water. 1 king, 2 queen, 2 twin and 1 full size bed.

Private residential community with it's own boat ramp, picnic and pier fishing.

You may just want to sit on the porch in the breeze and watch the yachts go by and the dolphins jump through the water. It truly is paradise.....

We live and South Carolina but are too busy with kids to get away to enjoy our home on the water. We just want to share it with others who will love it like we do.

Relaxing retreat during our WORKATION

Beautiful place to stay and get away from everything. It provided myself, family and others a nice retreat from work. The owners were very helpful and communicated well with us. There is not a coffee maker listed and you can't see it in the pictures, but it is there. There are no pics of the bedrooms, but they are very roomy. The master is upstairs and is nice and big with a walk in closet. The other bedroom upstairs has a Queen and Twin. The only drawback to this room is that there are windows with no treatments and sleeping late or taking an afternoon nap in this room is tough if you need it dark. The other two bedrooms are on the ground floor and across the hall from each other. One with a Full and the other with Queen and a Twin. The back porch is screened in and big. The TV channel line up is a little quirky. We went a few days before realizing there were more channels, and feel this is definitely an issue that has room for improvement. We were told that 3G did not work, but it does ok for Verizon. Sprint... not so good. Aside from lack of internet and more TV programming, this place was just right and we will be contacting the owner's again. GO, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Disconnect From Work

According to my friends that live in the nearby Park West division of Mount Pleasant, this place is in the sticks. I disagree. Major shopping is 15 minutes with traffic and the new improvements to Hwy 17 will make it shorter. The house is beautiful and the neighborhood is super quiet. Everything listed in the description is accurate and the housekeeping is nice.

The fishing wasn't too good while we visited, but that was due to the recent heat wave, not the dock/location.

You know you've had a good vacation when you pack up for home and wish you'd booked more time and your inbox has 500 plus emails because you just didn't feel like checking in.

Fabulous Week in Awendaw

This elegant home nestled on a magnificent waterfront property in Awendaw, SC, offered something special for everyone in our family. Our avid fishermen spent hours actively pursuing spottail bass and trout either from the dock or along the creeks outside of Bull's Bay. Those of us less inclined to cast our lines and our luck enjoyed kayaking in the tidal creeks and reading on one of the home's many porches. The photo opportunities were incredible: schooling dolphin, skimmers on the oyster banks, egrets in the marsh, not to mention, gorgeous sunrises followed by brilliant skies. Accessibility to Charleston-- the airport, the restaurants, the beach, and Seewee--is another plus to this location. Our family has already begun to dream about and plan for a future return.

What a great house! It's just a little north of Mr. Pleasant, and it took a little time to find it our first trip out there. After the first time, it was very easy to find. The house is large with just about anything you could ever need, including a well appointed kitchen. If you like to watch dolphins, there were plenty to see. It was incredibly quiet and beautiful there.
The closest place to eat is the Seewee restaurant just down the road about five miles. The food is good and you will not walk away hungry. We went there a couple of times. The owners of this beautiful home are very good about answering any questions about their home and helpful. I would definetly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a week in paradise, and we are looking forward to going back again.
