I am a 22 year resident of Vashon and have a 15 year old son. We spend a lot of time on the water and enjoy a variety of water sports especially Stand Up Paddlebaording. I recently opened a mobile paddleboard business called Fat Cat Paddleboarding and offer a 10% discount over $60.00 to all my guest.
Reed Nichelson purchased this house in 2007
This property is centrally located and is close to the center of town, marinas, and only 20 minutes from the ferries. It is on the water and on the bus line. The house was updated in 2008 and has all the amenities for very pleasant experience.
Paddleboard rentals, classes and tours from Fat Cat Paddleboarding right outside your front door and includes a 10% discount on anything over $60.00.
We have just returned from a fabulous weekend in Vashon with tired kids and a happy wife. The property is delightful, finished to a high standard but with fun quirks everywhere. Our host made himself available to answer any questions we had and made us feel welcome and at home. This property is a peaceful haven in an otherwise crazy world. We highly recommend this place to anyone else who wants a getaway to Vashon!
We stayed here with our daughter and had ano amazing time. Vashon is beautiful but this spot is particularly so. We had everything we needed to be cozy and enjoy our time here. Recommend it highly.
Beautiful cottage and great location. After getting settled we were very comfortable for the long weekend. Reed lives next door and gave us our privacy, which I did really appreciate. (nothing worse than nosy owners who want to get to know their renters). Beautiful view of the water and watching to tides go in and out is a great way to spend the weekend. The cottage is dog friendly. There were a few quirks, the biggest one is that the stairs going up to the bedroom are very steep and narrow. The kitchen lacked some accessories (a sharp knife and coffee filters) which just served to remind me to be prepared.
Hard to find in the dark, but the owner met us and waved us down. He took his time and went through the house and let me and my wife and my 5 kids feels comfortable. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a great get away
Our two families and our dogs stayed at this house for 2 nights. It's a great place in a nice, quiet location. Right next to the water (both 'waters'), charming inside and out with a fantastic deck that we spent a lot of time on. Kitchen is very well stocked. Surrounding area is very interesting to walk around and investigate (workout equipment by the beach??). Good selection of board games, and a cool door on the bathroom :). Owners were very responsive and accommodating. Thanks - we'll definitely consider coming back!
