Incredible location for lovers of the sea. Open the front door to a sunny and airy room that flows out onto to private covered deck and across the small beach into the sea. Swim, dive or snorkel right here!
The view from downstairs and from the master bedroom balcony is breathtaking. Palm trees frame the vista of the Caribbean with the island, Klein Bonaire, in the distance. One of Bonaire's famous dive spot buoys floats just to the right while sail boats slide past just off shore. Comfortable deck furniture provides the perfect place for wine and snacks while watching the pelicans feed or dophins swim by, or the spectacular sunset.
Downstairs the full kitchen is on the right as you enter the house with a large L-shaped counter and 4 counter stools for eating and visitng with the cook. Farther on the right is a desk for your computer or other items, and then the dining room table with chairs. Should you plan on entertaining, there are 7 dining chairs scattered in the house and on the balcony. On the left downstairs are the stairs up to the second floor, a bathroom with shower, and the living room area with a large sectionall sofa and tables. Tall chests hold the tv, dvd player, CD player, books, puzzles ,etc.
Upstairs you find the two oversized sunny bedrooms, both with private bath rooms and walk-in closets. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. Both bedrooms are air conditioned. The master bedroom has a small balcony overlooking the sea that is wonderful for morning coffee.
The townhouse is built Island-style with tile floors, concrete walls and lots of windows to let the clean cooling trade winds flow. We have used these features to create a non-toxic refuge for our vacations: We use organic linens and towels where possible. We use only non-toxic fragrance free cleaners and soaps. No insecticide use is permited, inside or outside (only people friendly items like boric acid, diatomaceous earth, etc.) Even though Bonaire has excellent chemical free water desalinated from the sea, we have included a quality water filter in the kitchen.
If you are not familiar with Bonaire, you are in for a delightful time exploring this blend of Caribbean and Dutch culture! Everything from the architecture to the restaurants share this mix and the people are fun and friendly.

As a marine biologist, I adore Bonaire and the care they take of their reefs. I love spending time in the water checking out the exotic species and their behavior! Every time I go, I see something new!
The Owner purchased this townhome in 2008
My husband and I spend a lot of time in the Caribbean vacationing, but we both felt an instant connection to Bonaire and Lighthouse Beach #5. We waited for years for it to become available to purchase - and are glad we did! It has the best of both worlds - being only 15 minutes to Kralendijk andl the shopping and restaurants, and yet off the beaten track with lots of quiet and privacy. There is no other place on the island that I have seen with the water view and accessability, even for a lot more money!
One of the true benefits of staying at Lighthouse Beach #5 is Francey. She and her husband, Eky, are 'Bonhandyman, Inc.' and she makes sure everything is right at the townhouse. Not just completely clean and maintained, but she will take care of almost everything the guest might want, from help with cell phones to problems that might arise. Francey is a blessing indeed!
We have been to Bonaire to dive several times over the past 10 years. We always vacation in a condo with an ocean view and have stayed in some lovely units. LHB5 was definitely the best! The ocean view cannot be beat and the beach is quiet and beautiful. The condo included everything for which we could possible ask- plenty of towels, full kitchen, deck chairs, television with DVDs. (We watched “Children of the Wind”, a documentary about native World Champion windsurfing kids, included in the condo library. It was incredibly inspiring!)
Needless to say, we had plenty of time to relax and enjoy our wonderful 2 weeks. We can not say enough kind words about the property. We just absolutely love it. Thank you for opening your home to us, we appreciate it and hope to return soon.
We have been to Bonaire 20 times since 2001. This is the best place to stay. Condo very beautiful .You can't beat the location.
What a treasure! The unit exceeded all expectations - when we arrived tired from an early morning flight we found a sparkling clean, fresh-smelling townhome with the best front porch ever - right on the beach! We celebrated our 30th anniversary with our 15th visit to Bonaire-and we have found our new favorite place to stay. We are so grateful to the owner for her kindness and helpfulness in getting us settled. We wouldn't change a thing about it-an absolutely perfect place to spend 2 weeks in paradise!
That is what my wife and I thought when we first walked through the door of LHB#5, we were at HOME IN PARADISE! The place is very comfortable, clean, quiet, and peaceful. The townhouse is well equipped from kitchen tools/utensils to beach needs. These items are good quality.
The beach is about 50ft from the patio. While eating on the patio we were created at breakfast by passing dolphins, pelicans, and frigate birds. At sunset the after dinner treat was pink flamingoes flying by. It was nice to listen to the sound of the surf as we fell asleep. We loved listening to the chatter of the parakeets, and watching them fly around in pairs.
The birds are incredibly beautiful on the island. Coming from Seattle we don’t get to see many colorful birds.
We enjoyed being able to snorkel from the townhouse and look for the resident turtle. We found it many times. We also found good snorkeling at the end of the airport runway.
The trade winds kept the townhouse very comfortable without the need for a/c.
If you stay here you will need a vehicle to get around.
We found the neighbors friendly and helpful.
Lynda, the owner is a good person to work with. She keeps her place nice and makes sure peoples’ needs are met. Francey who is the onsite manager is very friendly, helpful, and responsive. She has great ideas to where to visit, shop for food, restaurants, dive, and snorkel. We enjoyed talking and sharing time with her.
This was our first trip to Bonaire. It is not our last. LHB#5 will be our first and only choice as a place to stay. We look forward to going back to Bonaire, especially staying at LHB#5, and seeing Francey again.
ENJOY BONAIRE AND A HOME IN PARADISE!!
My daughter and I stayed there for a week in June, we had never been to Bonaire before and were hoping for a slow paced island. We were not disappointed, it was exactly what we wanted, the location of this condo was quite literally perfect. It is safe, quiet and located near some of the best snorkeling on the island, the salt pier. The only suggestion my daughter had was please put some room darkening curtains or shades in the second bedroom, it woke her up too soon with all of the light coming in, remember we were on vacation...
Please no one go there so we can book our vacations without fear of the property being taken when we want it.
Thanks Francey for allowing us to drop off our bags when we arrived, that was above and beyond.
This was our 5th trip to Bonaire. We have stayed at other places in the past, but this one is our favorite! I love the location. It's close to all the good dive sites and an easy ride into town to fill tanks or shop. You can get in a great dive behind the condo too! There are rinse tanks on the front patio.
I love sitting on the back patio in the mornings watching the birds, and in the evenings watching the sunset! I'm ALWAYS watching for the pod of dolphins to swim by. I love to see them!!
This condo has everything you need to cook a great meal in the kitchen or on the grill. There are plenty of linens, so no need to pack beach towels. I liked the added security of having a safe to lock up our cash and passports too. If you can find anything lacking (which we couldn't) Francey is just a phone call away and VERY friendly! We will be staying here again for sure!
Kite boarding at Atlantis Beach 3 miles south.
Buddy Dive shop 1/4 mile north of townhouse, Wanna Dive shop 1 mile away. Both shops have docks, instructors, gear for rent, tanks of air, and boat trips available.
The Donkey Sancutary is just before the airport and is great fun for everyone to check out.
