Incredible location for lovers of the sea. Open the front door to a sunny and airy room that flows out onto to private covered deck and across the small beach into the sea. Swim, dive or snorkel right here!
The view from downstairs and from the master bedroom balcony is breathtaking. Palm trees frame the vista of the Caribbean with the island, Klein Bonaire, in the distance. One of Bonaire's famous dive spot buoys floats just to the right while sail boats slide past just off shore. Comfortable deck furniture provides the perfect place for wine and snacks while watching the pelicans feed or dophins swim by, or the spectacular sunset.
Downstairs the full kitchen is on the right as you enter the house with a large L-shaped counter and 4 counter stools for eating and visitng with the cook. Farther on the right is a desk for your computer or other items, and then the dining room table with chairs. Should you plan on entertaining, there are 7 dining chairs scattered in the house and on the balcony. On the left downstairs are the stairs up to the second floor, a bathroom with shower, and the living room area with a large sectionall sofa and tables. Tall chests hold the tv, dvd player, CD player, books, puzzles ,etc.
Upstairs you find the two oversized sunny bedrooms, both with private bath rooms and walk-in closets. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. Both bedrooms are air conditioned. The master bedroom has a small balcony overlooking the sea that is wonderful for morning coffee.
The townhouse is built Island-style with tile floors, concrete walls and lots of windows to let the clean cooling trade winds flow. We have used these features to create a non-toxic refuge for our vacations: We use organic linens and towels where possible. We use only non-toxic fragrance free cleaners and soaps. No insecticide use is permited, inside or outside (only people friendly items like boric acid, diatomaceous earth, etc.) Even though Bonaire has excellent chemical free water desalinated from the sea, we have included a quality water filter in the kitchen.
If you are not familiar with Bonaire, you are in for a delightful time exploring this blend of Caribbean and Dutch culture! Everything from the architecture to the restaurants share this mix and the people are fun and friendly.

As a marine biologist, I adore Bonaire and the care they take of their reefs. I love spending time in the water checking out the exotic species and their behavior! Every time I go, I see something new!
My husband and I spend a lot of time in the Caribbean vacationing, but we both felt an instant connection to Bonaire and Lighthouse Beach #5. We waited for years for it to become available to purchase - and are glad we did! It has the best of both worlds - being only 15 minutes to Kralendijk andl the shopping and restaurants, and yet off the beaten track with lots of quiet and privacy. There is no other place on the island that I have seen with the water view and accessability, even for a lot more money!
One of the true benefits of staying at Lighthouse Beach #5 is Francey. She and her husband, Eky, are 'Bonhandyman, Inc.' and she makes sure everything is right at the townhouse. Not just completely clean and maintained, but she will take care of almost everything the guest might want, from help with cell phones to problems that might arise. Francey is a blessing indeed!
Kite boarding at Atlantis Beach 3 miles south.
Buddy Dive shop 1/4 mile north of townhouse, Wanna Dive shop 1 mile away. Both shops have docks, instructors, gear for rent, tanks of air, and boat trips available.
The Donkey Sancutary is just before the airport and is great fun for everyone to check out.
