The housekeeper and Gardener were great. The house was very clean and the yard was very nice always clean. The location was great and the view was wonderful. Isabella was beyond helpful. However I would not stay there again we knew it was an older home and I did not mind the tired furniture but the mattresses were horrible. The linens were fine. Also the Mosquitos were out of control and the air conditioning in the main house was never cold. The sofas were gross and need to be upgraded.
The house provided everything that we had hoped to enjoy. The home was beautiful, location was perfect and we really could not have asked for anything more regarding the home. What was very disappointing was a problem we encountered with Katie, the housekeeper. On the day before our departure she inquired about our departure time of 12:00 on Saturday and told us we needed to leave earlier than the scheduled check out time because she had "clients" coming in and she would need to have the house ready for them. Friday afternoon she proceeded to clean ALL of the windows and sliding doors and told us before she left to not touch the glass or mess up the clean doors. And also told us to not use the half bath. We were insulted as check out was not until noon on Saturday . She gave us the clear impression that from Friday afternoon on we were not toe my or use the house that we had already paid for. It was offensive.
We were on the phone with maintenance almost everyday we were there at the villa.
1) The shower head in the on of the bedrooms was broken and wouldn't spray water and it wouldn't stay attached to the wall. This was broken upon arrival.
2) The dishwasher was leaking in the kitchen - we woke up to puddles of water in the kitchen several mornings - and when we returned from evenings out. We were mopping the kitchen to keep from slipping. The plumber arrived Thursday (2 days before we left) to fix the issue - as well as a stopped up toilet in one of the bathrooms.
3) The electricity went out three times during our stay for periods of 30-90 minutes. The last time, was during dinner and per suggestion of the gate attendent, she said we should get the groundskeeper to set up the genterator. When I approached him, he simply pointed at the full moon. ?
Perfect weather, perfect island location, perfect house, perfect food!
St-Martin is great for food and wine.
The " Baie Longue " beach is average.
The villa itself and its location are amazing. The terrace could use a little fixing up. ( paint and broken tiles)
Music set up is great. Could use cable TV in rooms.
The villa was clean but not as clean as our first visit.
The staff is extremely helpful.
The cleaning lady should refrain herself from constantly bringing up the fact that previous guests did not tip properly.
We had a few problems with the house at first, but they were attended to pretty quickly.
The house was in a great location, and the house keeper was perfect. The house could use a few updates though
