Private Fresh Water Pond & Close to Ocean

We spent a week at this house over the 4th of July week. It is not near the beach, but it is very conveniently located to get around and to the beaches on the back roads. The house is very clean! and there are plenty dishes and pots and pans. We were did a fair amount of baking for a wedding in addition to lobster dinners and it was easy to work, hang out and visit with family. The kitchen is small, but it really worked well.

We needed a roomy home that would be comfortable for my mother, husband and daughter to spend some time at together, just being family. We were plussed to find beaches so close by, a Trader Joe's and overall wonderful, quiet and charming surroundings of the home. Everything was very tidy when we arrived. The house has been very well maintained with updated colors and finishes. The kitchen is stocked with what you need to cook for a family and has enough room for plenty of privacy. As a matter of fact, there are two great places to "hang out" at. Between the sofa in the open concept kitchen/dining area to the living room, you can literally be in one and not even be aware that anyone else is in the house. The bedrooms were also well laid out, making for more than one morning "sleeping in". Not only would I recommend this home for a family of 4, but also for larger groups. I see how it could sleep 10 comfortably. We stayed here in the winter and it was also a wonderful surprise to see how much there was to do and how centrally located this home is. Sadly, our stay was shortened one night thanks to Hurricane Irene. All of us wanted to do so much more. The kids loved Seagull Beach where the waves were fairly calm but fun enough to boogie board. During one of the rainy days we went to the Cape Codder, where there is an indoor wave pool, which was only a half hour away - kids had a blast! The house was very accommodating with a washer / dryer, a/c, a well equipped kitchen and even a closet full of games that the kids and adults loved. Owners are super nice and very easy to deal with. Had the renter's best interest in mind at all times. Memorable happy times for sure. Highly recommend for families with kids of all ages.
