It's a palatial 2500 square-foot 5-brm 2 bath home with a 60-foot center hall (8 feet wide!) large veranda overlooking Frenchmen, Chartres and Kerlerec streets. Recently completed a major renovation!! My house has 5 bedrooms: 3 with queen-size beds, one with a king bed and one with a queen and a double bed, plus there's a full-size futon on a fold-out frame and several other sleeping surfaces around the place...
There's a large kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances (Jenn-Air convection oven and gas range), large dining room, large living room, 60' plasma TV w/ cable, WIFI, washer and dryer, central air and heat, ceiling fans all over the place, sparkling hardwood floors, great view of Frenchmen and Chartres streets from the huge veranda ... and linens (sheets and towels) are provided. Two bathrooms, two clawfoot tubs with showers... One of the bathrooms is as big as most bedrooms! This house is even bigger than it looks in photos and video.
If you look really carefully, you'll see this house in the classic movie 'Easy Rider,' and you can catch it every now and then on 'Treme.' Guests have included a former Louisiana governor, a New Orleans police chief and a distinguished documentary crew from New York filming for a major network.
Also available for longer stays. Thanks for looking!

My name is Jonathan and I'm a long-time resident of New Orleans. I am actively involved in real estate in the area and I am very responsible and conscientious.
Jonathan purchased this house in 2004
I love my thriving and bustling quintessential neighborhood. I've had this house since 2002 and wow the neighborhood has now become a destination for travelers from around the globe. The house has a great soul and true New Orleans details. The hallway is more than 60-feet long!!!
You will be ideally situated to enjoy the BEST that New Orleans has to offer.... you can walk to the finest restaurants, bars, live music venues, sights, historic places... you name it, it's here!
We had a big group of 12 people and this house was great for everyone. The location is amazing and the balcony was such a great place to hang out. If you are in town with a big crew and like music - stay here. It is half a block to Frenchman and 1 block to the quarter.
We brought 11 family members ranging in age from 16 to 50+ for a Christmas, 50th and 19th birthday's and New Years celebration. The house is in the perfect location for accessing everything NOLA has to offer, most walking distance away, including some fantastic Jazz literally at the end of the street. Jonathan was the perfect host, he met us when we came in from the airport, he found someone to clean the house for us and when we had a slight problem (our fault) he was there within 30 minutes to explain what we were doing wrong.
I recommend this property as a perfect solution for family or group gatherings looking to get the most out of what NOLA has to offer.
Thanks again Jonathan.
I just visited NOLA with 10 of my closest friends for a Bachelor Party. First and foremost, the owner is incredibly welcoming, reasonable and helpful. He went out of his way to make us feel like the house was ours (including the cold beers in the fridge!!).
The location could not have been better. Right on the corner of Frenchman just a couple short blocks from Bourbon & Royal streets. The house itself has charm and character but there wasn't anything a group of rowdy partiers had to worry about breaking. Great patio on the back to enjoy some pregame music & beers in the comfort of the shade.
5 out of 5 Stars, totally recommend this place to any larger party. We had 11 people and everyone had a comfortable (non-floor) surface to sleep on.
The house was perfect for a group of 12 visiting NOLA for the weekend. The rooms and space were more than adequate, and the house is very well maintained. Jonathan is a great host- extremely responsive and thoughtful.
We would certainly come back. Thank you!
This home is ideally located for those travelers seeking to experience both the French Quarter (Bourbon Street) and the Marigny (Frenchmen Street). The pictures and online video DO NOT do the home justice! Every amenity is available for guests, and our 10 person bachelor party was able to relax and also enjoy the best of NOLA in equal measure. Amazing food, drinks, and entertainment are all within minutes! The home was perfectly clean with ample bed and seating space; the large dining room table was a place to eat and share; and the kitchen expertly handled the challenge of feeding 10 grown men. Every room in the house was spacious and inviting. The true highlight of this home, however, is the balcony - an amazing place to gather, people watch, and enjoy the gorgeous New Orleans culture as it surrounds you. Most importantly, the property owner is an informative, accessible, and generous host. Our every inquiry was addressed in a prompt and friendly manner, which made planning a weekend trip for 10 individuals easier than one could hope for. There is absolutely NOTHING negative to say about this home -- everyone is encouraged to highly consider this an amazing rental -- and we fully intend to return in the future. Enjoy!
This home was the perfect place for our 6-night Mardi Gras visit! Walking distance to the jazz and art venues of the Marigny neighborhood and the incomparable French Quarter. The house is a fine mix of old New Orleans charm and modern convenience, spacious and comfortable and clean, with a great balcony (rental is on the second floor of the building) and beautiful furnishings. Jonathan, the owner, is very welcoming, friendly, thoughtful and responsive. He has stocked the house with everything visitors would need, including kitchenware, linens, laundry and cleaning equipment, games, books, even rain gear. It was always a pleasure to come "home" to our rental after a day of sightseeing, shopping, restaurant/bar-hopping, touring, losing our minds on Mardi Gras and the other fun stuff we found to do. We spent a couple of nights in, watching a movie and playing games after cooking dinner; it was like hanging out at a friend's house. I recommend this house to anyone looking for comfort and authenticity in a central location (beyond walking, public transportation is pretty good). Many thanks to Jonathan for being a great host.
