Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Sleeping Porch, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

This cozy cabin on the shore of Lake Alexander has everything you need for a relaxing family vacation, girl's week away, or fishing trip up north. Enjoy the loons and other wildlife as you sip coffee or sunbath on the deck. Fish from the dock or bring your boat and try for muskee, walleye, northern pike or bass. Watch the beautiful sunsets in the west, and then go make s'mores and watch the stars from your bonfire. Sand volley court is available. Golf courses within 15 minutes. Drive to Gull Lake, Brainerd, Little Falls or Staples in 25 minutes or less to enjoy the many activities these areas offer. Walk, boat or drive to restaurants on the Lake.

About The Owner

We are a Minnesota family of 5 who enjoy the many things the MN seasons have to offer. A nurse and a truck driver with three kids in sports and school activities.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 1996
Why The Owner chose Cushing

I spent a lot of time on this lake with my grandparents who lived across the street from this cabin. My parents live on the lake just down the street. It is a great location, and right by the water. We have many happy memories of waterskiing, jet skiing, fishing, suntanning, playing volleyball and having fun with family and friends. The afternoon and evening sun on the deck make the summer days long and memorable. It is a great getaway, yet close to so much in nearby areas, like Gull Lake, Brainerd, and Little Falls, so there is much to do. Horsebackriding and gulf are nearby. You can walk to one of the restaurants - a sportsbar, and restaurant. There is a second restaurant at the East end of the lake. The lake is beautiful, with islands and bays. Boat traffic is not an issue, like it can be in some parts of MN.

Cabin has a full kitchen, satellite TV, 2 bedrooms, a pull out coach in the 3 season porch, and a futon. It is truly a great summer getaway.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • Cabin is available May-September. Rentals are Saturday to Saturday.

So much more than we expected. What a great experience. Covered slip made worrying about the boat a non issue. Thanks for making our fishing trip so much fun. Make sure you hit the Castaway bar and grill on saturday. Great fun and great food.

I love fishing Lake Alexander.Makes my seventh trip on this lake.My friend and I caught Walleye,Northern Pike,Smallmouth Bass,Largemouth Bass.The bonuses were seeing Deer at lakes edge and of course my favorite bird,the Loon.To top it all off was the cabin.It was all I expected and then some.Just a great place to stay and forget about everything that bugs you in your daily life.Good memories.Thank You So Much.

The description says it all. Fish, boat, relax, and beautiful is right! First and foremost, the cabin's views of the lake are wonderful. Whether you are inside looking out, on the wonderful deck, or on the bench out on the dock, there is not a bad view at this cabin. The cabin is very clean and the beds are so comfortable. All amenities function properly and everything needed is there. The new thoughtful bathroom remodel also includes a heated tile floor, granite countertop, and nice shower as highlights. I loved the covered boat lift that kept rain or dew out of the boat and made going out fishing so easy. When you come back from fishing or other activities it was wonderful to relax on the deck and listen to the loons call as you sip a beverage of choice or dine at the table and enjoy watching the lake. Any questions don't hesitate to ask the friendly and helpful owners. They went out of their way to exceed ny expectations and make my stay comfortable and extremely enjoyable. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to enjoy this beautiful clear lake, wildlife, and the quiet woods. Far enough out of the way but still within about 20 minutes or so of major stores and activities. I love it up here! I will definitely be returning next year.
