THE CABIN: Surrey House is a large, 2-story family sized home, comfortably and eclectically furnished, with plenty of room for all. Upstairs you will find two living rooms, a fully-stocked kitchen, dining area, and a bathroom, as well as a fabulous balcony for relaxing under the pines. Board games, books, a large tv, stereo equipment, and multiple seating options will keep you comfortable and entertained. Downstairs is another bathroom (both have showers only, no bathtubs), washer and dryer, and the 3 bedrooms. One bedroom has a cal-king bed, and one has a unique bunk bed that has 3 (one pull-out) twin mattresses. The final bedroom has a double bed, small tv, gas fireplace, and a private entry.
Guests of Surrey House also have Twain Harte Lake privileges, and can enjoy all the Lake has to offer for a fee of $5 per person per day, payable directly to the Gatehouse.
THE PROPERTY: Surrey House sits on a tree-studded, beautiful, 1/3 of an acre, and is one of the largest lots (if not the largest) in the neighborhood. Most important though is the fun to be had! There is a charming, one-of-a-kind putting green in the front, a ping pong table in the back, and plenty of room for the kids to run around a safe distance from the street. Below the ping pong table is yet another outdoor seating option, along with a built-in charcoal barbeque. This pine-scented area offers good privacy, comfortable seating, and convenient proximity to the kitchen. In addition, there is covered parking for one vehicle, and plenty of space to park more cars.
THE LOCATION: Surrey House is ideally located near downtown Twain Harte. You can walk to the coffee shop, the playground, municipal pool, the skate park, the 9-hole golf course, the basketball courts at the school, multiple restaurants, gift shops, and the miniature golf course. All of downtown is easily accessible, and Twain Harte Lake is approximately 1 mile away.
Or, you can hop in the car and head to Yosemite for the day (about an hour away) or go to Pinecrest Lake for a day of hiking or fishing. The historic Town of Columbia is a short drive away, as well as Cover's apple farm. For the train enthusiast, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown is also a short drive away, as is mainstream shopping in Sonora.
A great house, fabulous yard, and excellent location make it hard for Surrey House to be beat!
