About Bob and Diane Zurfluh
My wife and I purchased this land and built a nice comfortable home on the Chesapeake Bay, primarly as an investment for our children's education... As the years went by, we decided to retain the property and still be able to educate our three children... This, our second home, is used sparingly as we are particular as to who we rent to as we want to keep it in awesome shape.. You will see this house lives up to our hype.. We currently reside near Annapolis, Maryland and are empty nesters...
Bob and Diane Zurfluh purchased this house in 1985
Why Bob and Diane Zurfluh chose Tilghman Island
My wife and I enjoy waterfront living, spectacular sunsets and the sound of the waves crushing on the rip rap... I enjoy fishing, crabbing and kayaking while we both enjoy relaxing and reading a good book either from the deck or our screened porch.
What makes this house unique
Suffice to say, at sunset to see the sun and many of the colors of the rainbow as it sinks into the western shore, is a slight that you beg for more and do not easily forget. ... Enjoying a bushel of freshly steamed crabs complete with Old Bay seasoning direct from the watermen, or fileting a fish on our outdoor cutting board while watching the sunset, is truly a lasting memory.
Guestbook comments from the owner
I have rented this house twice and will rent again when I have the chance. The location is excellent and the view is spectacular - both from inside the house and the well-maintained deck. The dock is wonderful for relaxing and the boat ramp is perfect for launching kayaks. On my first visit I had two teenage boys with me and they stayed busy fishing, kayaking, swimming and cabbing all within eyesight so I hadn't have to worry! This house is clean, has a nice open floor plan and is well-equipped with enough "toys" (bikes, corn hole, horseshow pit, etc...) to keep everyone happy.. It is also on a quite dead-end road with little to no car traffic. I highly recommend this house to anyone who wants deep relaxation with plenty of space for the kids to play.
