The cottage is a lakefront cabin surrounded by natural settings and beautiful views. It features a private dock for your boating and sunbathing enjoyment. Bottle Bay Marina is conveniently located right across the bay for a quick lunch or cocktails and dinner; also offers gas and watercraft rentals. Nature trails just three miles away. Enjoy mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, jet skiing, water skiing, fishing and lots of swimming.

Bottle Bay is a choice area to water skiing

About Peggy Binnall

We lived in So. California many years and raised 4 children there. We worked as a Electral Contractor until we retired in 1989. We were avid flyers and loved to fly and camp out of our Cessna 182.

Idaho has some of the most wonderful & beautiful back country airstrips in the country and so our love affair started with North Idaho. We bought our home on E. Bottle Bay in 1989 as a vacation home, but it took us only 4 yrs to make it our perminate home. Four of our flying friends followed us, moving with us to N. Idaho. All our children & Grandchildren love to spend summers here.

Now we would like to share this part of Gods Country with you!!

My family has enjoyed this beautiful area for over 22 years. We were avid flyers for over 35 yrs. which give us the opportunity to see many beautiful places But when we arrived in North Idaho, the peace and beauty touched our hearts and we knew this was where we wanted to put down our roots.

Now we would like to share it with you..

The water is warmer on the Bay than other parts of the lake, which makes it sought after for water skiing, swimming and other water sports.

There is a great Air Museum aprox. 4 miles from the cabin. The Bottle Bay Resort and Marina is across the bay and has dinning, a bar and live music. You can get fuel and rent water crafts.

You can fish off the dock or just stretch out in the sun, at night there is a fire pit to roast your marshmallows and watch the stars!!

Perfect getaway

We rented the cottage studio from Peggy last month on her beautiful Bottle Bay property. Peggy lives there in her cottage over the boat house on the lake year round so she greeted us in person with her "velcro" dog, Sadie. She gave us directions to the local grocery over on Garfield Bay, some hiking spots, and was around during our stay to show us how to work the gas grille, provide beach towels, and wood for the fire pit.

The property has direct lake access so you can swim just off the dock in your private area, take Peggy's paddle boat just before sunset like we did, or tie up your own boat and jet skis. The cottage is is great condition and is very comfortable--just be sure to duck when you climb the ladder to the sleeping loft! :)

Peggy was a great host, the property exactly the getaway we were looking for, and Bottle Bay is warm and peaceful in the summertime.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

The perfect get away....

My fiancée and I really enjoyed the little cabin on the lake. The mornings are so peaceful and serene. It truly is the perfect get away. It feels like you are out in the wilderness but with convenincey. We were able to put our boat in at the marina across the bay which is either 5min drive away or a less then a minute boat ride. We had dinner and drinks at the resturaunt in the marina a couple nights. The food there was pretty good but we liked taking the boat into Sandpoint.( which was a 15-20min boat ride in. ) there was all kinds of little restaurants to try in town and lots of little shops and art galleries to go into. But the really nice thing is that you really don't have to go anywhere. We had our boat and a nice dock to lounge on and when we had enough sun we could sit on the dock under the deck to get out of the sun. We had an amazing week there and are planing on going back again. One of the best vacation spots we have stayed in. It was a very laid back vacation and the owners were very accomodating with everything. Oh and my fiancee would like to included that his favorite thing was fishing off the dock in the morning and evening. We caught perch and small mouth bass mainly with a few large mouth. We can't wait to come back!

I've stayed in this cabin several times over the past 10 years. Waking up to the smell of pine, birds chirping and the soft lapping waves of the lake bring back the best memories! A great family vacation or quiet get away. I'll be back for sure.
