Our stay in Richmond San Francisco

  • 4 of 5
The apartment was clean and well situated. We enjoyed being in a suburb rather than in central San Francisco, we bussed to places every day and got to experience the city more. It was a safe area with lots of good restaurants, good pizza and Chinese especially. We also ate in when we were too exhausted to go out after busy days sightseeing. Found a Smart & Final market 2.5 blocks away which was good. Stayed 5 nights and would recommend.

A Wonderful Stay in the big city

  • 5 of 5
The garden apartment was a great place for us to stay. It was quaint, clean and was perfect just for the two of us. It was also just six short walking blocks from my friends. There were several great places to eat in the area if you didn't feel like cooking. We did not have a car this time but found the bus routes easy to navigate. My only regret is that our schedules never worked out to actually meet Liz and her family. Oh well, maybe next time. Will check for availability for our next visit to the city.

Look No Further...

What a wonderful place to stay while in SF! Whether you are staying for a few days or a few weeks, this apartment will accommodate all of your needs. The apartment in itself is very clean and well kept. It is much larger than what you would expect a studio to be, we fit very comfortably at all times. The backyard garden is quiet and there are beautiful plants lining the fence, it feels like you have left the city. This was our first time in SF and we were more than pleased with the location of the apartment. It was a great location for morning runs through the park. It is a quick 2 mile jog to Baker Beach which was a very enjoyable way to start the day. Both Ashley's Cafe and Eats were great places to eat breakfast, both within walking distance. For lunch and dinner, there are more options than you could possibly need! If you are wanting to visit Fisherman's Wharf or any of the Pier's you can easily get there through public transportation or the Uber smartphone application. Those "touristy locations" were a bit too busy for our liking so we definitely enjoyed being located in the western half of the city, close to the beaches and running trails. All in all it was an excellent stay and if we make a trip back to SF this is where we'll be staying!

Nice apartment in quiet neighborhood

  • 5 of 5
As advertised, this unit is recently remodeled and has a nice garden area for sitting or just viewing out the window. The area is quiet and has easy access to Mountain Lake Park/Presido, and also a 10-15 minute walk to Golden Gate Park (Calif Academy of Science and de Young Museum, etc). Clement St and Geary St have great food options, and Ashley's Café is at the end of the block for a quick meal or coffee. Great way to see San Francisco while avoiding the crowds in the popular hotel/motel areas. #1 bus will take you to those areas in 20 minutes or so. Unit is listed as a studio but is actually quite roomy.

Very Nice SF Studio

  • 4 of 5
This rental is great. It was my first time in SF. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. The location was perfect for our purposes. We would definitely stay here again.

Things we liked the most
For a studio, it has well defined areas
If you want to avoid the touristy areas, this is a great location
Located between Presidio and GG Park
Many transit options within walking distance
Clean
Quiet
Very comfortable bed
Affordable

Things we liked the least
No washcloths available
-There were large towels for drying ourselves after showering and hand towels for drying our hands after washing them, but we had to go buy something to wash with in the shower. When we called the owner, we were told none were available and no one had ever asked about this before. That seemed weird to me.
No option to cover large window in living room
-There is a large gorgeous picture window in the living/dining area that looks out into the patio/garden. It lets in tons of light, which is nice in a lower level unit. But the only option for reducing the amount of light was thin, sheer (read: see-through) curtain panels. It didn't feel very private when changing clothes or settling in for the evening.
No luggage/suitcase stand
-The unit is nicely decorated, but there weren't very many surfaces that were suitable for holding an average size piece of luggage. The floor seemed the only option. We used a dining room chair to hold our suitcase the whole trip. It was a little awkward, but we made it work.
