My home is for those who desire comfort and quality living. It is equipped with all the little things that make life convenient. This is an open spaced home with a cook's kitchen. All you need is your food. Equipment for cooking and entertaining are provided. The beds are comfortable with soft sheets and down comforters. The quaint courtyard is equipped for gas grilling. A fire pit with plenty of wood is there for relaxing after a busy day. While walking to the historic landmarks downtown you will pass historic homes, charming gardens, piazzas and the magnificently beautiful College of Charleston campus.
The home is in a safe neighborhood near MUSC and The College of Charleston. It is out of the congestion of the tourist area but close enough to walk to restaurants and historical sites. Bring your bicycles, walking shoes and leave your car parked. I provide recommendations for our many delicious restaurants.
I juggle many jobs: I am a psychotherapist in private practice; the mental health consultant for Head Start; a photographer and oil painter. I display some of my art in the Artist Guild Gallery on 160 East Bay St. but most are hanging in my home and available for purchase.
Robin Joseph purchased this townhome in 1994
I love city life and all its conveniences! It is the perfect location in downtown historic Charleston. Its walking distance to shopping and dining but in a residential neighborhood.
Living downtown allows easy access to various neighborhoods and areas of Charleston. You are 20 minutes away from 3 beaches! One of the benefits of vacationing in a home is that you don't have to eat out for every meal. The house and patio gives you space to relax and stretch out instead of a single hotel room. I offer to get you a bag of groceries for a small fee. They will be waiting for you at arrival. Please inquire directly to me about this service. A basket of herbal teas is there for your enjoyment. Supplied is a box of basic food preparation items so you dont have to buy them when all you need is a little. (salt, pepper, sugar, olive oil, baggies, coffee filters, tin foil, all detergents, toilet paper, kleenex, paper towels, dish sponge)
Thank you for respecting my home. It is a easier meeting such nice people as yourself.
We rented this house because of its proximity to the Thomas Bennett House which was the venue for our son's wedding and also because of the beautiful garden. We were not disappointed in anything. The house was convenient, beautifully furnished and quiet. Having off street parking was a huge plus and being around the corner from the Bennett House was an even bigger plus. We enjoyed being able to have my sister in law and her husband over to enjoy the garden. It was great to have a spot to relax and unwind after the wedding. Robin was wonderful and was kind to mail my husband the charging cord for his phone which he left behind. The house is very comfortable, extremely clean and very convenient to the Medical University, the historic district, or Charleston College and if you are attending a function at the Bennett House nothing could be more perfect. I would stay at Robin's home any time I needed a place to stay in Charleston and would certainly recommend it to family or friends as long as we were not in competition for places to stay in Charleston; if they were also looking for a home to rent I would not say a word until I had made arrangements with Robin because this would be MY first choice and would not want anyone to get it ahead of me. Robin also allowed us to check in a little early and to check out a little later so she truly goes beyond the usual to make her guest feel at home. Thank you Robin, it was nice to meet you, and you are a fabulous host and your home was comfortable and perfect for our needs.
What a great reunion for 4 old high school friends. All of us first-timers to Charleston and we had a blast. This property was awesome, from the beautiful outside garden (where we enjoyed wine) to the comfy family room where we sat snuggled up while reminiscing past memories. Robin was an awesome hostess whom we met. This was a perfect location and had all the amenities we needed for eating in and snacking. We even did a little laundry during our stay. Bravo to Charleston and this lovely property.
Just a little note to say now much we three enjoyed staying in your home while visiting Charleston. Your home is charming in every way and you were the perfect hostess. This trip was a wonderful trip down memory lane. Every time I visit, I find Charleston to be more beautiful than on a previous trip. It was also enjoyable getting to relax in your house and visit with my daughter and her mother in law. Your home made for the perfect place for such a get together. Again, thank you and I appreciate you for making our trip so delightful!
Recently, I had the pleasure of staying in Charleston, S. C. for a couple of days. We enjoyed our stay at
Robin's home. It was so beautiful and was like being at home. She provides everything you need.
Robin was so helpful with directions and recommending restaurants. The art work in the townhouse is
beautiful and all belong to her and is for sale. We had a wonderful time and recommend you to stay if you are visting.
I want to thank Robin so much for sharing her lovely home with us. We settled in very quickly and absolutely felt right at home. We enjoyed looking at her wonderful photography and art work. You are a very talented lady. After our initial walk thru your home, our kids were saying "nice place...we could totally live here." It was very inviting and so very close to everything in town. Bravo! Thank you for providing a great get-a-way for us.
Nice, homey property conveniently located within walking distance to attractions. Comfortable furnishings for afternoon naps in between activities. Private parking space a necessity in Charleston neighborhoods. Our only problem was the funky coffee maker. By the 3rd morning we finally had it figured out. Loved Charleston.
Other Activities: Shelling, Boating, Health/Beauty Spa, walking and viewing historic homes and gardens, visit colleges: MUSC, CofC, The Citadel; walk to fabulous King St for shopping and dining
