My parents bought this property on Lake Travis in the 1940’s. Cattle roamed the area and poked their heads into our camping tent. Soon after my Dad had a one room rock cabin built. It had a fireplace and surrounded with windows. Later he added a kitchen, bedroom and bath and a large covered front porch. An additional one room guest house was moved on to the property in the 50’s and we are in the process of remodeling it as the “Blue Bonnet Cottage” It will be a good overflow for the kids. It will sleep 4 and has a 1/2 bathroom. My brother and I inherited the Sunset Cabin in the 90’s and our families have enjoyed it all these years with kids and grandkids. We now rent it part of the time so others can have as much fun as we have had these many years.
