The open concept floor plan allows for breathtaking views and endless entertainment options. Or just relax by the gas fireplace with the calming sounds of the rolling surf. Rain or shine, activities abound. Seven miles of pristine ocean beach await you where you can try your hand in skim/boogie boarding, kite flying or just relaxing and watching the spectacular sunsets and then roasting some marshmallows over a bonfire. During the winter season you can storm watch from the comfort of a warm fire, even while relaxing in the Jacuzzi overlooking the ocean. Even take in the site of a migrating pod of whales!

Indoors, kids and adults alike will find numerous entertainment options from the HD satellite and 3D plasma TV to the PS3 and Bluray players with Netflix. A selection of DVDs and novels are available. High speed connectivity with WiFi will keep you busy downloading and playing games on your computer or staying in touch with work if you need to.

Rockaway Beach is a quieter community perfect for families without the traffic and noise of other Oregon oceanside communities. Everything is within walking distance. But if you want a change in scenery Cannon Beach, Manzanita and Seaside are only a short drive away. Ocean fishing charters are available in Garibaldi only 5 miles away.

About Markus Kuhn

Markus and Jennifer are hardworking (probably overworked!) high tech professionals who immensely enjoy outdoor activities and all of the beautiful natural attributes that Oregon offers. They have been avid visitors to the coast for many years and even eloped in a beach ceremony just a few miles away. Purchasing an oceanfront vacation home has been a dream fulfilled.

What makes this townhome unique

Our home is located directly on the beach with spectacular ocean activity and sunsets. It is within walking distance of the downtown area and all of the shops, coffee bars, restaurants etc. We want to provide the same opportunities to enjoy the raw beauty of the Oregon Coast which attracted us here over the years.

Excellent oceanfront

Tonight is our last night in the Condo. We have been here 7 nights so far. What a great place to spend our 40th anniversary. We will come back again for sure, probably in a few months or definitely next year. The place is spotless, furniture comfortable, and view is outstanding. There are cheaper rentals in town, but if you want the best, this is it.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Tide's End! The welcome/gift package was very nice and very thoughtful. The owners were very accommodating and provided a lovely place to stay. We were two couples vacationing for a few days and we could not have asked for a better place to stay...the view and proximity to the ocean were better than we thought they would be. The access to the beach was a bit difficult for our 80+ year old relative, but for most people it is very convenient. There is not much to do in Rockaway Beach, but that is not a problem with so many places close by. Very comfortable and very clean...would highly recommend for a group of 6 or less!!!

Don't tell anyone what a wonderful place this is. If you do, it'll be all booked up and we won't get to go back. We just returned from our second visit to the Tides End town home. Already booked our next stay. The setting is amazing. The ocean is only steps away. Beautiful home with a welcome package waiting when you arrive. A bottle of Oregon wine, miscellaneous teas and coffees and a tote bag with the logo to take home as a souvenir. Candles are everywhere. The kitchen with its granite counters and top of the line appliances is fully equipped. The master bedroom has a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. Big windows, sliding doors and two decks all face the ocean. Absolutely amazing!! Shhh. Don't tell anyone our little secret ;-)

It was the best stay that we have had in Oregon. Arrangements were made without a hitch and we appreciated the flexibility and attentiveness of the owners. We prefer rest and quiet when we vacation so the beach front location was excellent; however, lots of beach activities for parents with children as well. The home is modern and nicely appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. Great location for book reading, movie watching, playing games and just walking on the beach. The beach is beautiful and right off of the front deck, nothing to block your view with easy access for walks. Rockaway is a small town, but a 15-20 minute drive North to Cannon Beach or south to Tillamook provides some points of interest and good sight seeing. If you are looking for quality R & R, we unreservedly recommend the home and would definitely love to return.

Fabulous condo right on the beach!

We had a family vacation this summer at this wonderful condo - only 3 days but I wish we could have stayed for 2 weeks! As you can see from the pix, the place is immaculate and stocked with lots of amenities - great TV with cable, netflix, dvd's and surround sound (3D capable); lots of items in the pantry that you'd normally have to buy yourself (sugar, flour, oil, etc.), kites, boogie boards, beach chairs and toys, grill, luxurious towels, gas fireplace downstairs and between master bath and bedroom.
Outstanding views and easy beach access. The beach itself was lovely - sandy, wide, and with views of hills all around. The town is sleepy but nice. Manzanita (with large grocery store) was only 20 minutes away. I plan to go back. We all had a lovely time.
