Your comfort is ensured with a queen sized mattress and pull out futon in bedroom. Living room with flat screen TV (premium cable with HBO). Large kitchen with all amenities for your cooking needs - gas stove, oven, microwave, full size refrigerator and cupboard pantry. Bathroom is small - shower, sink and toilet. Unit provides plenty of storage space. Wi-Fi internet available.

Owner Description: We are both long term residents of Monterey county. Fabrice was born and raised in Belgium, came to Monterey for a quick visit and never left. We both are Registered Nurses at the Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula in the Emergency Room and are active people, enjoying the everyday offerings of Monterey! Our hobbies include outdoor activities such as: hiking, running and biking. We are food and wine lovers which makes Monterey a perfect spot for us. We both love traveling and have been around the world to many places, but no place has ever come close to our home here on the coast of CA.

Amazing and luxurious!

My actual stay was during April 1-3 of 2012. Fabrice and his wife were wonderful to communicate with and they made sure my stay was well met. When I arrived, the place I had reserved was under construction, but they upgraded me to the upstairs property - which was amazing. Fabrice and his wife make sure all accommodations were available. The place was wonderful and very comforting. Honestly, I didn't want to make a mess because the place was so beautiful. When I had a concern about a lock not fully clicking on a back door, Fabrice came over that morning and had it fixed. I would highly recommend stay at their properties to anyone! Thank you two so much for a wonderful place to stay. This was my first HomeAway experience, and I'm looking forward toward more!

Perfect setting to come home each nite to!

I have never stayed anywhere that was so clean upon arrival! I don't keep my own house this clean, it was perfect in every way. The apartment was totally updated and so spacious. The bed was so comfortable, slept like a baby every nite. There were people in the upstairs apartment but you could barely hear them. We never did get a chance to use the bikes... Next time! It is a great location to get to Hwy 1 and an easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf, that area was too touristy for us, spent most of our time in Carmel and hiking areas along Hwy 1. Millcreek Redwood Preservation is a must if you love to hike! Go online and check it out. You must get a pass before you go and they only issues eight passes per day. We had a great week, thanks you Hayley for renting to us! We hated to leave and come back to the east coast. Oh and thank you for the 7 days of sunshine you promised!

Perfect getaway

This property was perfect for our family with 2 small children. Very clean and nicely decorated. The only VRBO property we've stayed at that has EVERYTHING from laundry/dish/hand/body soap and hair dryer/curling irons to bikes and trailer for kids - this owner has definitely put the time and thought into making this a relaxing get-away. Quiet location with easy access to all Monterey has to offer without ever getting in the car. Thank you for a beautiful stay - we hope to be back next year!

Good value, location and comfort

I loved the bicycles and aquarium passes and the whole rental process proceeded smoothly. Good bed, TV and couch. Decor was a bit sterile, but I would have given 5 stars if the kitchen had been better equipped and the lighting had been better. In particular, I would like to see the 60 watt incandescent bulbs that hardly put out any light replaced with more ecological compact fluorescents, which also would improve the lighting.

The perfect getaway!

We had a wonderful stay in Monterey!! The amenities in the home were perfect - every detail was taken care of and was very clean and comfortable. My husband and I loved the fact that the apartment was located within walking distance to fabulous restaurants, the water, and the aquarium. This was an ideal spot to spend a few days and we look forward to our next visit.
