Bonnie's grandparents homesteaded the ranch in 1908. It has remained in the family for over a hundred years and still operates as a cattle ranch. Bonnie and I returned to theBlack Hills from Denver in the late 90's and have decided that this is where we want to stay. We look forward to sharing this beautiful spot in the Hills and making new friends as we do so.

The Owner purchased this house in 2010

Secluded working ranch but centrally located and convenient to Custer State Park (1 mile) Mount Rushmore (15 miles), Crazy Horse (25 miles) Badlands (60 Miles) and many more popular destinations

Dick & Bonnie made our stay so pleasant. They have a wealth of knowledge of the area and are very welcoming. Bonnie really makes you feel at home with lots of little added touches. My family is still talking about the delicious homemade jam! The house was well-stocked and there was plenty of space for our four families (7 adults and 6 kids), allowing us to meet up and enjoy being together under one roof. This is where we will stay again if we have the opportunity to return to the Black Hills. VERY HIGHLY Recommended!

We were in the Hills for a wedding and wanted a place to accommodate 8-10 people comfortably and also a place outside town where we could have leisurely family time together. Bonnie and Dick were excellent hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was very neat, clean and tidy and we were very comfortable during out stay. The country setting is outstanding and was everything we could have asked for. We heartily recommend this vacation home for anyone wanting a secluded, comfortable house for quality time with family and friends in the Black Hills.

We can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was! Bonnie and Dick were the most gracious hosts! Dick even took us out for a ride on the ATV around the ranch! Bonnie helped us plan our visit and gave us great recommendations for site seeing and restaurants. The house was huge, extremely clean, and well equipped with all the comforts of home. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us (4 adults, 6 kids). Great location for site seeing. I highly recommend!

Black Hills Best Place to Stay

Our family has been visiting this area for 30 years. We have had many memorable vacations, but none more pleasant than our stay at the ranch. Dick and Bonnie are attentive hosts and so personable. We felt comfortable immediately. The property exceeded our expectations in all regards. The ranch is so central to the real attractions of the Black Hills--Custer Park, Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind and Jewel caves. Off on day trips and then such a wonderful place to relax. Only a mile off the road but light years away from the hubbub--if you can't find peace here, you might as well stop looking! I recommend this vacation site without reservation!

Our family, that includes 6 adults and 5 children had the opportunity to spend a week at Bonnie and Dick's beautiful home and tour the Custer State Park area. The property exceeded expectations and this part of the country is amazing. Dick gave us an ATV tour of the ranch and both he and Bonnie were invaluable for informations and and suggestions to fully experience our stay. Highly recommend anyone who is visiting thins area to make this their home base.
