About Dick and Bonnie Miller

Bonnie's grandparents homesteaded the ranch in 1908. It has remained in the family for over a hundred years and still operates as a cattle ranch. Bonnie and I returned to theBlack Hills from Denver in the late 90's and have decided that this is where we want to stay. We look forward to sharing this beautiful spot in the Hills and making new friends as we do so.

Dick and Bonnie Miller purchased this house in 2010

Excellent Home Away from Home!

  • 5 of 5
My family and I loved the accommodations at the ranch. The house was fully stocked with everything you would need to have a relaxing vacation. Dick and Bonnie were gracious hosts. Let us pick fresh apples from their trees to eat, and even brought some to feed donkeys in Custer State Park! Such a fun experience for the kids, (and the adults too). Bonnie also brought over some homemade bakery and jam. The area is beautiful and close to all of the attractions. The views from the ranch are amazing and worth exploring. My family and I enjoyed the property and the Black Hills area, we want to go back again. If we do come back, we will rent this property again.

Perfect Accomodations!

  • 5 of 5
Two families stayed here and had an amazing time. The home had everything we needed including a well stocked kitchen and room for all 10 of us. Everything was clean and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and very helpful. In the evenings, we enjoyed playing games in the yard. The views were great! We definitely recommend this property!

More Than Expected

  • 5 of 5
I arrived with my family from Puerto Rico for a three night stay. The house had everything we needed and a fully stocked kitchen. Everything was very clean and we felt right at home. Bonnie and Dick welcomed us and could not have been nicer. They even provided us a pass for Custer Park that we used and had the best experience with all the wildlife. I have already recommended the place to a friend heading to the Black Hills with her family. Thank you Millers for making our vacation a great one!

Good life on the ranch!

  • 5 of 5
The ranch home of Dick and Bonnie was more than I expected. With 4 grandchildren and our daughters, the home was spacious and abundantly furnished, the kitchen well stocked (homemade rhubarb jam was delicious!), and the grounds open with old corals and barn to explore. The children loved roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. I particularly admired and enjoyed Bonnie's flower gardens in bloom. Returning home at the end of each day after exploring the Black Hills, it was amazing to enter the gate of the ranch, drive down the long road and come upon open views of the ranch, mountains, and the house. Bonnie and Dick were always helpful with any information we needed. We will always cherish our memories of staying on the ranch which was just at the entrance to Custer Park, so convenient for where we wanted to go. I highly recommend this house if visiting the Black Hills.

Perfect Vacation Spot!

  • 5 of 5
Dick and Bonnie's home is the perfect location for families wanting to experience the beauty of Custer State Park. The home is spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you will need for a relaxing vacation. Our family relied on Dick and Bonnie's advice for spotting wildlife and making sure we saw all of the important sites in The Black Hills. We couldn't have asked for more gracious and welcoming hosts. The location is perfect-only a mile from the entrance to Custer State Park. We enjoyed the privacy and seclusion of the cattle ranch (with some of the most beautiful Angus cows we've ever seen) while also being extremely close to the park. It was a perfect vacation spot for our family and we all agree that when we go back to the Black Hills, this is the only place we want to stay.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5
Dick and Bonnie do a great job and are very friendly hosts. We had an extended family gathering of 10 at their rental home for four days. The place was everything advertised and everyone had a wonderful time. The home is very spacious and is in a very pretty setting. It is right next door to Custer State Park and was great for side trips throughout the Black Hills. I think you will not be disappointed to rent this property, it is a great value for money!
