Overview

Ludlow Cottage Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8

Sited among the trees on the eastern shore of Lake Pauline, the first floor of this waterfront home has an entryway (mudroom), an open kitchen-dining area with sliders onto a deck facing the lake, a living room with a fireplace/woodstove and a cathedral ceiling, two bedrooms and a full bathroom with a tub. Upstairs is a comfortable open loft bedroom, second bath with a shower, a laundry area with a washer and dryer and a nook with a futon/love-seat. Built as a year-round camp in 1972, this cottage was extensively renovated in 2006, including all new appliances, granite-topped kitchen counters, tile bathrooms, hardwood floors in the kitchen-dining area and carpet throughout the rest. The major systems (electric, plumbing, heating, well and septic) have all been updated too, providing that elusive balance between rustic charm and care-free reliability.

This house is the perfect summer getaway and Winter haven for Skiers. Please be our guest!

About Rob Bellezza

Born and Raised in NJ. Moved to Vermont in 2011.

My family and I have fallen in love with everything this state has to offer and purchased this cottage in 2013.

Rob Bellezza purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Rob Bellezza chose Ludlow

Living a few hours north of Lake Pauline, I stumbled across this area simply by chance a few years back. I wanted to take a last minute vacation with my family during the July 4th weekend and ended up exploring this portion of Vermont. We all had an excellent time on Lake Pauline, and we knew right away that we wanted to own a home that was close to top notch ski resorts in the winter, and lakefront for the summer months. We could not have found a more perfect combination for year round relaxation.

What makes this cottage unique

This cottage has everything you need. It sits directly on 165 feet of lakefront property surrounded by 1 acre of private and peaceful land. It is approximately 2 miles from Okemo, and 15 miles from Killington. The town of Ludlow is home to various restaurants, bars, and plenty to do. There is literally something here for everyone.

Great Place to Recharge

  • 5 of 5

The house and overall space was awesome. Getting away from the city, the house was very comfortable, and the outside space was perfect to relax. The owners have made every effort to anticipate what guests would need, so it felt very homey. I highly recommend it.

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Cabin was in a great spot, less than 5 minutes from the base of Jackson Gore. Cabin is quaint and cozy. Had 7 adults and slept very comfortable. Having two bathrooms was perfect too. Absolutely no complaints and Rob was quick to respond to any questions.

Very nice property

  • 5 of 5

We had 7 people come up for the week and it was very comfortable. House is kept clean and in a perfect location for skiing. Owner provided a lot of firewood for the fireplace.

The owner was also very quick to respond to our questions. I would definitely return to this property again!

AWESOME SKI HOUSE

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this house with our 3 kids. To be honest, I was disappointed at first as my heart was set on staying on the ski mountain but I went to reserve too late and there were no places available to fit our family and thus stumbled upon this house. Blessing in disguise!!

This place was literally 2 miles from the mountain which allowed for easy in and out with the benefits of having a full place. The kitchen was a full, looks like recently renovated, kitchen with a great stove a full fridge which is always a plus for our family as we prefer to eat in vs eating out. Given the weather, we even grilled a few nights. The fireplace was so awesome and there was plenty of firewood to have a fire every night.

Had plenty of room to accommodate our full family with the 3 sizeable bedrooms which helped with napping and noise control (we have a light sleeper!!). After a day of skiing, I personally enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle of the mountain.

All in all, our family will never stay on mountain again and will instead be looking to rent a place just like this in the future!

Beautiful home in a GREAT location

  • 5 of 5

The house is even nicer in person. Everything is new and clean and the bathrooms are gorgeous. We loved every minute of staying here. The lawn is big and great for games like frisbee, the fire pit is perfect and they left a shed full of wood for us to use. Paper towels, TP, bath towels, sheets, everything was provided and that made it SOO easy!

From the dock, the lake isn't really all that swimable (shallow water with lillypads and mud) but there is a floating dock right off the dock (not sure if that belongs to the house or not) and there is a public beach down the road in the state park. There is also a main road across the lake (which is narrow at that part) from the house which we were surprised by, but it really didn't bother us ONE BIT!

There was a kayak and a canoe that we took out and paddled around the lake which was great fun! For breakfast, try Cafe deLight (skip the Hatchery). Make sure you go to Buttermilk Falls (cold water but fun!)

We had a blast and would ABSOLUTELY rent again. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!

Great place, great location

  • 5 of 5

Thanks Rob for opening your house to our family! We had a lot of fun at the property. We found everything we needed, even a needle with the right color string already threaded!

The house is very comfortable, well furnished, the lake was the right size for our younger explorers and the fire pit was perfect for s'mores and a glass of cab after the little ones went to bed.

The great location allowed us to crisscross the width of central VT and even "discovered" a little jewel: Saint-Gaudens national historic site in Cornish, NH, only 50' away after a ride with great views.

Five stars for this house and its owners!
