This home is set up to provide you with a great base for your San Francisco stay. Located in San Francisco's Marina District, you have an easy walk to the Marina Green and Crissy Field, as well as to Chestnut Street, Fort Mason, the Presidio and The Palace Of Fine Arts. With a Walk Score of 97, you have easy access to great nature walks, bike trails, shopping, restaurants and bars, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
This remodeled upper flat offers 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a spacious gourmet kitchen with a computer nook, a dining room with a large dining table, and a great living room with bay windows, a leather sectional, and a 50" Smart HDTV.
The two primary bedrooms each have a king sized bed, a closet and a 32" HDTV. At the back of each bedroom is an adjoining sunroom that has a queen sized murphy bed with built-in closet cabinets, a 32" HDTV and a desk, allowing the sunroom to serve as a third bedroom or as an office/reading room.
One of the bathrooms is located off the main hallway and offers a shower/bathtub. The other bathroom is located in one of the bedrooms and has a large stall shower with bench. There are high ceilings and hardwood floors throughout the flat. The home is well-appointed, and is intended to make your stay enjoyable. There is an in-unit washer and dryer, large and small kitchen appliances, as well as linens, towels, silverware, dinnerware and other amenities. The pantry is well stocked, and WiFi, Broadband and HD Cable TV are included. Six bicycles are available for your use, which our guests find to be a great way to tour the area.
Your toughest decision may be in deciding whether to stay and enjoy the flat or to leave and take in everything that the surrounding area and San Francisco has to offer!
I have nothing but positive things to say about our stay at this wonderful apartment. The hosts were very responsive, professional and very generous -- in short, we had a fantastic stay.
The apartment itself is even larger in real life than it appears -- there was lots of space and we had a large crew with us. The living areas are comfortable and the kitchen and dining room were great for having/fixing meals -- we often had 6-8 people eating and we had plenty of room.
The bedrooms were all very nice and the beds were in great shape. The bathrooms were well appointed also.
The hosts provided access to bikes, which was perfect for our family -- we had 5 kids on bikes and the location is super close to the Marina and a ride to the Golden Gate Bridge was very easy (and fun!). We were also greeted with a very generous offering of a bottle of wine, some bread, cheese and fruit -- so nice! The hosts were always responsive and made parking locally about as easy as it could be.
The location is fantastic for most of the more touristy areas of the City and easy to get to Marin County. There are lots of excellent restaurant options just a few blocks walk away -- including an Apple store with a great selection of iPhone accessories made by mophie, if you are in need of portable power while you are out and about.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we do another trip up to San Fran sometime soon.
My family (4 adults, 1 child) stayed in this GORGEOUS flat and just adored it. We loved feeling like we were a part of the neighborhood, rather than getting caught up with the tourists. The flat is perfectly upgraded yet still has the charm that you would expect from an older home in that area. It's perfectly situated in a very walkable community. The owners personally greeted us when we arrived and shared valuable information about the area (upcoming events, grocery store location, parking options, restaurant locations, etc.). They also loaned us their bikes, which was perfect for mornings along the wharf or heading across GG bridge. I could go on and on ... A FABULOUS PLACE TO STAY!
This home was so fantastic and I couldn't have been happier with my choice of places to stay in San Francisco.I lived in San Francisco for 20 years in my youth so I know the area well and this location is the BEST!!! You can walk to all the important places along the San Francisco Water Front including the Marina Green, Fort Mason, The Palace of Fine Arts, Crissy Field, and Ghirardelli Square. Union Street, and Chestnut Street are only a couple of blocks away and we ate and shopped there many times. You can also grab public transportation very easily. We downloaded the UBER app and used the service for all our evening adventures so a car isn't even necessary. They have bikes for you to ride if you like so you could even ride over the Golden Gate Bridge if you want. I was stunned by how beautiful this home is, even better than the pictures. Every detail is QUALITY and LUXURY. The thoughtfulness of the owners showed in every room. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook, all the spices, oils, etc. There is soap, shampoo, hair dryers, etc. in the bathrooms and the towels are plentiful and high quality. The beds are new and super comfortable and the sheets and pillows are heaven. Everything you need is provided for you by these homeowners. You should just bring your walking shoes and jacket and you are set with everything you need for a perfect vacation. (They even had a few Jackets in case yours isn't warm enough.)
We were 6 adults and we couldn't have been happier. Thank you so much Bob and Linda. We will be back again!
This was the first time I used VRBO, and I can't express enough how pleased I was by the experience. I recently spent a few days in San Francisco for business with 2 of my partners. We decided it would be nicer to share a flat, rather than book hotel rooms. Bob and Linda met us upon arrival (terrific people), and acquainted us with the property, and the surrounding area (which is great). This beautiful home was clean, comfortable, and secure. I would not hesitate to recommend it, and I hope to return at a time not too far in the distant future. It even exceeded my expectations.
My husband and I, along with our two teenage children stayed here. It was just what we had hoped for and more. A perfect "haven" after all of our adventures! Highly recommend! San Francisco is great and so is the MARINA DISTRICT!! You'd be two blocks from GREAT restaurants and shops. Awesome neighborhood. Bob and Linda are very gracious hosts. Always available to answer questions but only if you want. Can't go wrong! Great Choice---if you are lucky enough to get a "space" on the calendar! Don't hesitate.
This place is like a 5 star hotel, if this home has not got it, it's because you simply don't need it!
The owners, Linda and Bob were a pleasure to deal with. They have covered absolutely everything! Everything is like new and is immaculate, yet it's made to make you feel so incredibly welcome!
The beds are incredibly comfortable and the layout was perfect for our family vacation and first visit to San Francisco.
The bikes were a real bonus and we loved biking over the Golden Gate Bridge and down to Pier 39.
The parking permit was a real bonus too as we were able to park easily for our 5 night stay. Thanks for lending us that!
The Marina district felt so safe too and made an excellent base to explore SF.
It is located only a few minutes from Safeway so you can get any supplies you need if you really want to cook or you can visit the many local restaurants/cafés if like us cooking is the last thing you do on vacation!
You cannot fail to have a great time here!
My only advice would be book very early as I'm sure this place will get booked up very easily and you don't want to be disappointed!
We are really fussy where we stay and I do so much research before I book anywhere. This is the one place you won't be able to fault!
The security deposit was returned within a couple of days of us leaving too so all in all my one word to describe this is 'perfection' at it's finest!
Thank you for allowing us to stay and share your home. We will contact you immediately next time we plan to visit.

The Marina District has sometimes been referred to as "San Francisco's Playground."
Originally the location of the 1915 Pan Pacific Exposition, the Marina District has much to offer. From the range of shops, restaurants and bars on Chestnut Street, the scenic wonders of the Marina Green, Crissy Field and the Presidio, to the attractions of Fort Mason and The Palace Of Fine Arts, there is a variety of activities to offer to everyone. The Golden Gate Bridge National Recreation Area provides trails and bike paths to explore the area.
We hope that you will find out why San Francisco has been voted the #1 city in the US as a vacation destination. Public transportation takes you to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, the Embarcadero, Downtown, Chinatown, North Beach, Golden Gate Park and the rest of San Francisco's best. San Francisco's restaurants alone can keep you very happy.
