Find quiet, cool comfort in the Spaghetti Western cabin. We are confident you will enjoy this popular loft model cabin. The Spaghetti Western cabin is situated in the Sitgreaves National Forest at its eastern boundary. Nestled in the heart of Arizona's famous Mogollon Rim country. The area truly captures the essence of a relaxed mountain atmosphere. Located in the heart of the White Mountains, Heber/Overgaard, is a scenic 2.5 hour drive from Phoenix. Located about 55 miles east of Payson, Arizona, our community has managed to retain its small-town feel where people can escape the stresses of a busy city life. This cabin is located in a community of about 30 other small cabins, (Mogollon Resort Cabins).
If your outdoor vacation interests include hiking, biking, fishing or skiing, the Mogollon Rim provides all this and much more. For fishing, Willow Springs Lake and Woods Canyon Lake recreation areas are only 20 minutes away. Sunrise Ski Resort offers great runs for all types of skiing enthusiasts and is just an hour away to the east in the White Mountains.

I love nature and being outdoors. We bring our kids to the cabin to experience the natural setting and local environment.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2007
We had been coming up to this area for many years and wanted a place of our own. A great escape from busy city life, and the 25 degress cooler does'nt hurt either.
The cabin is just a great place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Kind of like camping but with all the amenities and no tent to put up.
I rented the cabin for three nights in January as a winter getaway from work in Phoenix -- nice to get some real winter weather. I'd never been up to the Heber-Overgaard area. This time of year, we practically had the resort to ourselves. The interior is cozy and comfortable, the back is nice and private, and the hot tub was perfect. Relaxing, quiet, and close to some beautiful hiking trails. Excellent for a romantic getaway or small party, and quite affordable.
Cabin was GREAT!!! Very Cozy, Clean and perfectly furnished. We had a relaxing and cozy time cooking and sitting by the fireplace. My son loved the loft with twin beds. Having the wireless internet was an added bonus for my autistic son who needs the internet to communicate. We would definitely return to this property. We enjoyed walking around and was perfect having bison right across the street. Was a pleasure working with Pat the owner.
We stayed a week and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The cabin is cozy and well furnished, we especially appreciated the kitchen. We had a few maintenance issues and were pleased to see the owner and groundskeeper respond quickly. So nice to get out of the Phoenix heat! We will be back to stay at this lovely cabin!
My family stayed here over Labor Day and enjoyed ourselves immensely! It's wooded and private, but still close to town. The owner, Pat, was easy to work with and he followed up as promised. His representative/maintenance guy is on site or nearby in case you run into any issues and they're very responsive. The property itself is newer, but still has a cabin-y feel and while it's small, the high ceilings and open plan make it feel bigger. We were plenty comfortable with 4 adults. The hot tub was a plus and a nice end to the day. Linens and towels are provided (you'll probably want to bring a beach towel for the spa), as well dishes, silverware, etc. All in all, It was a really nice (and cool!) getaway from Phoenix, and we hope to go back sometime!
This cabin was exactly as described, only better. My husband and I took our 4 boys and there was a bed for each of us. Everything was clean and when we opened the door we were thrilled with how it cute it was! The loft is bigger than the pictures show, so that was a nice bonus. You can easily put an inflatable mattress up there between the twin beds if you don't want 2 sharing the sofa bed.
We were very happy there was a washer and dryer in the cabin and used that every day. We found all the necessary pots, pans, dishes, etc. in the kitchen to cook/bake - I even made cookies one night. The front porch has very nice seating, including the double glider - it was a great place to read and relax. The hot tub was also relaxing and was fun to use at night when all the sounds of the forest were alive.
The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and the cabin. It was easy to locate from the map. We drove to the nearby lakes every day to fish. Woods Canyon Lake has boats to rent or you can fish from the big boulders on the shore.
I have recommended this cabin to my friends and family and I'm sure we will return to it next year.
This property looks decievingly private on google maps. ( the "streets" in this subdivisions are actually driveways) We were about 20 feet away from 3 neighbors and there is no privacy whatsoever. The first day, my husband and I explored the Rim and returned to find the front porch soaking wet when it hadn't rained. It kinda freaked us out. Was our cooler leaky? Did someone break in? Nothing seemed to be missing and the cooler was fine so we wrote it off. The next morning we heard walking outside past the bedroom window and right onto the back porch to check on the hot tub. My husband went to check it out and found out it was a groundskeeper. On our second morning we awoke to someone knocking on the door to see if we were still there (we rented it for 3 nights). It was the groundskeeper again.
Pat the owner was very nice and helpful and we felt good renting from him.
The cabin itself is very beautiful inside with lots of personality but we would have had a much nicer time on our anniversary weekend if we didn't have someone hovering over us. It was creepy. If you are into exporing the Rim and don't mind people babysitting you this is the place you want.
