Rina... You have a beautiful house. Our entire family enjoyed the stay at your comfortable and inviting home. Everything was very clean, wonderfully decorated, and well thought out. The kids played ping pong and watched TV as the adults cooked and talked by the fire. Thanks for allowing us to rent your home. Hopefully we'll have the opportunity to do it again soon.
We had a lovely time at this house! The beds were super comfortable and the house had everything we needed (including sleds, free wifi and a ping pong table!) which was nice since so many places on VRBO don't supply wifi, toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, dishwasher fluid, etc. etc. etc. Also I loved not having to do a bunch of cleaning before we left which is also required by many houses on VRBO. The house is very close to the slopes and in a convenient location. If there was one thing we would change, it would be to add another couch to the living room on the main floor. Thanks again for a great vacation!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in this VT. home. This house is beautifully decorated and the grounds and lake made for a very relaxing week. My family loved kayak/canoeing on the lake, bonfires and roasting s'mores. I, myself, could not get enough of laying on the hammock! There are also many attractions nearby, so the children enjoyed their action packed time.
I do have to mention a few things about the house - 1. It is FULLY stocked! You only need to bring your personal items, clothing and toiletries, and groceries (kayaks, canoes, life jackets are also provided). 2. It is very nicely decorated. The owner could make a branch look like art. Oh wait...she did! 3. Super clean. 4. The owner is wonderful to work with and made sure we had everything we needed.
It was a perfect time!
It was a wonderful summer week!
The house is located on a beautiful lake which you can see from huge windows, the moment you enter the house. The fantastic view is practicality inside the living room.
The kids had a blast as the lower floor had plenty of interesting staff for them as well as the lake with the boat, the canoe the floaters and a lot of outdoor space for the kids to play, which was very important for us.
The house is very well equipped and very well decorated with antiques . We didn't miss a thing. It is very well kept.
Owner was promptly available and helpful when we contacted her.
The lake is an opening of a river and is very peaceful. No motor boats. Very safe for kids.
The only disadvantage of the house, but wasn't an issue due to all the other advantages, is the road from where you enter the house's driveway. It was a bit noisy as it is a main road. However, in the house we didn't hear the traffic most of the time and definitely not on the lake.
There is plenty to do in the area, if you are up to adventures with the kids, hikes, waterfalls and plenty of antique stores. We were always so happy to get back to the house, the lake, prepare great meals, eat in, use the fire pit. We didn't have enough of it.
I would definitely recommend it. It was amazing for the kids as well as for the adults!
We have been coming to VT for a long time and love the area, but needed a bigger place as our crew of three couples have grown to include 4 children now and this ski house was exactly what we were hoping for! The house is immaculate and beautifully decorated with antiques, while still feeling very comfortable and homey. The house was well equipped w/ all of your cooking needs, fresh linens, and fun games to play at night. We really enjoyed using the fire pit-especially the kids, who made s'mores for the first time! The view of the lake was spectacular with the backdrop of beautiful fall foliage. And the location cannot be beat-very easy for us to drive to our favorite VT spots!
We have been renting in VT for years and this is by far our favorite place. Rina is a most gracious host and bent over backwards to make sure we had all we needed to enjoy our stay. We hope to return again next year-maybe with another kid or two:)
This was our family's first trip to Okemo. We have an 11 y/o and an 8 y/o. This home had more than enough room for us. I would say we could easily have had another family of 5 comfortably stay here. The location to Jackson Gore was perfect for us. The home has everything you could need for cooking, sleeping and washing clothes. I do wish there was better lighting by the dining table (because we did some puzzles together in the evenings) and a bigger sofa upstairs, but honestly, that is being very picky! :) Outside we went sledding, which my kids loved, but be careful as you could end up in that lake! LOL. Lots of fun :) Being used to Marriott-level hotels for our vacations, I wasn't sure when we pulled up to the home. It was very snowy and I wasn't sure what to expect. Inside was so wonderful and so much better than being in a sterile hotel. The interesting antiques were so neat--my kids thought they were great. And those with smaller children, you do not need to worry about breakable things around every corner. You might have to put up a few things, but then you would be fine.
I would really like to return during the summer. It's location is so pretty and offers so much to do as a family.
This gorgeous house was magnificent for a family vacation. The home is so clean and well kept and the location is perfect. We were near restaurants, a state park and plenty of other activities. The view of the lake is beautiful and my children loved the kayak and canoe. The ping pong table and dart board kept my children entertained in the evening. Everything about this house was fabulous!
Located on the pristine waters of Lake Pauline, a few steps from the famous Sugar House for maple ice cream and their own maple syrup. We are 3 minutes to Okemo Mountain for skiing, 12 miles to Killington and 2 miles to the Ludlow golf course. Woodstock and Manchester village are nearby for antiquing and shopping.
