WONDERFUL HOME, PHENOMENAL LOCATION!

  • 5 of 5
We thoroughly our enjoyed our visit. This home was the perfect accommodation for our family of five - spacious and beautifully furnished. Tim and Maggie were extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive to our questions.

We like to cook our own meals, and the kitchen was well-equipped and a joy to use, and included a very powerful blender for making smoothies. The front-loaded washer and dryer were quite handy, and the spacious storage nook in the entry was very convenient to help us keep our beach gear organized. We also very much appreciated the boogie boards, beach chairs, abundant beach towels, and snorkeling gear available to guests.

The surrounding neighborhood has a variety of very interesting and beautiful historic homes, and we enjoyed being able to take walks, including walking to downtown Honolulu. The second floor porch offers a scenic and relaxing view of Diamond Head - we highly recommend climbing to the top of Diamond Head early in the morning. We also recommend going early in the day to the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve for spectacular snorkeling! Hanauma Bay is quite close by.

We would definitely enjoy coming again - everything about this home was excellent - and will recommend this home to our friends and family.

PERFECT HOME

  • 5 of 5
Our family rented this home over for a fabulous stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was just perfect for us,4 adults and a toddler. We have been to Hawaii several times, and this location was really good for us,as we are familiar with the area, the beaches, shopping etc. Maggie had a porta crib ready for us, and the kitchen is so very well equipped. We cooked out a few nights and found the patio just perfect. Parking space is small, but really it is great, because parking in Waikiki is a challenge,so to have a space at all is wonderful.
Mahola to Maggie,we will try and return soon!!!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

  • 5 of 5
We chose this property for the 1st leg of our Hawaii vacation and were very happy with our decision. We will try and rent this home again on our return visits. Maggie was wonderful to work with and the communication was on point. The location was perfect for what we wanted which was to be close to Waikiki but without the hassle of dealing with the traffic and crowds 24/7. Its a quiet neighborhood that was a 5 min walk along the park to our friends condo down the road. It was so nice being able to come "home" to a house as opposed to a hotel room. The bedrooms have a/c but the trade winds with the windows open provided a very nice breeze. There is easy access to beaches and parks nearby. Parking is limited but we managed just fine. COULDN'T HAVE BEEN HAPPIER WITH OUR STAY!

Couldn't have been happier with our stay!
  • 5 of 5
We just spent 10 nights at this beach house and couldn’t have been happier! I did a ton of research and am thoroughly happy with the decision to stay here. The house is situated on a quiet street in a quaint neighborhood where every house is a different style, but all with the same comfortable beachy feeling.
Enter a very large living area with beautiful hardwood floors, plenty of sunlight and furnished with an extra-large sectional sofa facing a giant TV. But who wants to stay indoors when the beach is 2 blocks away! There is a 2nd sitting area with a large bed beneath a beautiful big window. A full bath is tucked away in the corner but convenient for everyone. The dining room has a large table that seats 10 comfortably. The kitchen is so well equipped - top notch appliances, utensils, the works! Off the kitchen is a colorful little nook where we enjoyed breakfast. There is a top of the line W/D in the same room and an exit to the side patio where you can rinse off and hang your beach towels. There is no A/C on the 1st floor but we didn’t need it. We opened the windows and let the trade winds flow through. For security reasons, and not that we were concerned - we did close and lock the windows every time we left the house. 3 BR/1B including shower separate from the tub are located on the 2nd floor. The master BR was HUGE with beautiful arched ceilings and exposed wood beams. Just off the BR was another “study” with a bed and plenty of storage. Each of the 3 BRs has individual A/C units.
We have worked with Maggie for the past three months and she couldn’t have been nicer! Her sister was at the house upon arrival and was kind enough to show me around town, recommended places to eat, shop, swim, etc. Anything we needed during our stay was promptly taken care of. We even locked ourselves out and she was kind enough to get us a spare key. Parking is at a premium on this street but there is a covered space attached to the house. It’s a bit tight so if you have a BIG vehicle, it could be tricky. 3 beaches within a 5 minute walk from the house. Chairs, towels, boogie boards – all provided. I loved opening my bedroom door every morning and seeing the sun come up above Diamond Head! If you are in good shape – take the hike, it’s beautiful at the top! Waikiki Beach is less than 10 minutes by car. I would highly recommend this house.
Not enough room to write everything, but we had an amazing time!! Mahalo Maggie!

DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE! COMFORTABLE, SUPER WELL SITUATED.

Didn't want to leave! Comfortable, super well situated.

We were lucky to be the first to rent this amazing and charming house! We wanted to be near the action in Waikiki but to be able to retreat to a quiet neighborhood after the shopping and surfing and yummy food that are close by.
The owners were attentive and have thought of everything you could want in a vacation rental.
It's a great house for a family, with washer/dryer, full kitchen, four bedrooms and outdoor space for relaxing and setting up the barbeque.
And the beach is right around the corner: a couple of minutes walk in either direction take you to two lovely beaches, one smaller and more natural and the other with more people and safe shallow waters for little kids. We'll be back!

Throughout the years, Waikiki has become the tourist mecca of the Pacific. Located on the South Shore of Oahu, Waikiki and its white sand beaches were home to the legendary surfer, Duke Kahanamoku. Approximately 1.5 miles long, this famous stretch of beach is perfect for both water enthusiasts and beach goers alike. Over the years, the busy streets of Waikiki have become filled with a variety of luxury apartments, hotels and world-class shopping locations; some of which include, the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, Luxury Row and the DFS Galleria. Located along the iconic Waikiki Beach, Kalakaua Avenue can be considered to be the ”Main Strip”: Home to high-end hotels such as the Moana Surfrider, along with world class shopping opportunities such as the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, and DFS Galleria. In contrast, the less glamorous Kuhio Avenue is comparable to Las Vegas’s “Old Town”: Home to the Waikiki Trade Center and some of the neighborhood’s more colorful and long standing restaurants, and nightlife.

Besides the hundreds of dining and shopping opportunities, there are also a number of attractions and activities that the whole family can enjoy. At the east end, is the Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki Aquarium, where visitors can visit and learn about some of Hawaii’s native land and aquatic residents. On the west end, families will also enjoy the Hawaii Army Museum at Fort DeRussy, along with nightly hula shows, weekly Friday night fireworks at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and movie nights at “Sunset on the Beach“.

Hawaii’s signature landmark, Diamond Head Crater was once known by the Hawaiians as “Le’ahi” or “brow of the tuna”. Once filled with swamps and agricultural lands, the slopes of Diamond Head have transformed over the years to become one of Oahu’s premiere luxury neighborhoods on the south shore of the island. Home to amazing ocean front views, awesome surf breaks, beautiful hiking trails and secret beach pathways, it is no wonder why Diamond Head has become sought after by a number of celebrities and world elites.

Nestled between Waikiki and Kahala, the Diamond Head area, serves as a beautiful transition from the crowded streets of Honolulu to the quiet urban sprawl of Hawaii Kai and east Oahu.

With multiple scenic areas, visitors can take in the beautiful south shore scenery and maybe even the occasional whale sighting during the winter months. Grab a surfboard and catch a wave at Diamond Head Cliffs or spend a relaxing day on the beach soaking in the warm Hawaiian Sun. Diamond Head Road is also perfect for those looking for a quick scenic run or leisurely stroll. And be sure to check out the historic Diamond Head Crater for breathtaking views from Honolulu to Koko Head.
