A haven of peace and beauty

A holiday in the Monchique area in the middle of January will never be about sunshine!

We were looking for a quiet, peaceful week away and certainly found it here. The house is a beautiful combination of traditional Portuguese architecture and furnishings with some great modern touches... This being January we soon had a log fire roaring in the massive hearth, so big that you actually sit inside it!

We were completely enchanted by the house, and the beautiful surroundings and fantastic views. Yes, at this time of year it rained and was misty sometimes, but this is partly why we went!

Our greeters were very friendly and helpful, showing us everything we needed to know; very welcoming.

I have no doubt that summer here would be equally magical...

You definitely need your own transport as there are no local facilities. Monchique is about 10-15 minutes drive.
