Forks Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Nestled in the center of 24 acres of lush forest you will find a secluded older cabin that is quaint and clean. You will have privacy with peace and quiet. Nature abounds on the property and birds, elk and deer are occasionally seen in the large yard. There is a nature trail with plant markers for your enjoyment and a quiz , available for young and old. We have recently added a spectacular 1/3 mile trail past huge,moss-covered, cedar logs and magical glens. Bring your walking shoes, it is new and can be muddy in places. Both trails are for easy walking and are well marked.

We are centrally located for the Forks Twilight-saga, the Hoh Rain Forest, Kalaloch and Ruby Beach. The Olympic National Park is on our doorstep. There is world renowned fishing and hunting nearby. Local activities are beach combing, clamming, surfing, hiking, kayaking and river rafting.

Guestbook comments from the owner
The elk were out in full force all day.It was so wonderful I did not dare even to go outside. It was a crisp sunny day and a wonderful respite from town. Tomorrow it is a beach hike with the family.

We are English transplants who have fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest. The grandchildren love to come and spend time here.We love sharing the cabin with people who really appreciate the beautiful setting. We have spent years upgrading the property. Not easy with over 110 inches of rain a year! We are thrilled that our guests are returning and recommending the place to their friends. Thank you to all of you and we love your nice comments in the guest book.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 1984

Our family has owned and loved this property for over 25 years. Actually, the property has owned us! Especially the moles! Many of our English relatives have come to visit and are always amazed at the scenery. We wish to share this peaceful sanctuary with you.Make sure you take the time to walk the trails

Tranquility, relaxation, and seclusion. We have enjoyed watching the wildlife in the large yard. The trails are magical. Also the beach-combing,fishing and hunting is pretty good too!

FABULOUS FOREST HIDEAWAY

  • 5 of 5
We four English girls have just had the most fabulous time in Hoh Valley Hideaway for our reunion. The cabin had everything we could wish for, comfortable beds, all mod cons, gazebo, plus BBQ. We loved the well-maintained trails through the ancient rain forest and fun around the campfire. Trust you will find the peace and tranquility that we enjoyed.

PERFECT PLACE TO RECHARGE

  • 5 of 5
When we were planning for our WA spring break vacation, we were looking for something near the Hoh rainforest that would work for a family of four (two kids ages 13 and 11). We stumbled across this place on VRBO and it quickly won out over the other options. This place was perfect! As long as you don’t expect a fully upgraded modern rental and you are looking for a quaint, cozy “cabin in the woods” near the Hoh rainforest in Olympic National Park, this should definitely fit the bill.

The cabin was well stocked, had a huge DVD & VHS library, comfortable beds, and little touches here and there that made it a very easy place to unwind. The owner-built trails around the property are great and added a nice touch to our stay. The owner made some “quizzes” about the region that will entertain both the kids and adults. And there’s a bunch of information about the surrounding areas to help you plan your stay. The National Park is a reasonable distance away. There's even WIFI! It’s amazing to us how the world has changed when you have a place like this, that is seemingly “off the grid,” but that has WIFI at a decent speed. (Foodies - we suggest “importing” food in b/c local restaurant options nearby didn’t look that exciting).

Lastly, there seemed to be a good “network” of local folks who could take care of things if something wasn’t working (no problems when we were there). There were good sets of instructions around the cabin to make our stay really easy and self-sufficient. We felt safe the entire time we were there. If we ever come back to this corner of the continent, we would stay here again!

WONDERFUL GEM OF A VACATION CABIN!

  • 5 of 5
We're from Seattle and this was our third visit to the region but the first time at the Hoh Valley Hideaway and it was our favorite by far! We have two young children and they adored it. There was so much room for them to run and play outside! The two playsets in the backyard were a big hit, as were the kids movies and truck/crane set inside. The highchair, booster seat and pack & play were also appreciated.
The cabin was very clean and well cared for. It was a good size for two adults and two children, but might get cramped with more people, though there is the bedding for more.
The notes around the house were great explanations of how things work. The owner was great with communication, especially considering we decided to go on vacation just a week prior. Everything was well stocked, from soap to frying pans to tons of extra blankets. The WiFi was fast and the boot dryers were really helpful. Our favorite part was the amazing trails and stream! It was so beautiful and great we didn't even bother going into the national park!
I can honestly say that because of our stay here, this was the most relaxing vacation I've ever had! We hope to be back soon and often!

WINTER IN THE HOH RAIN FOREST

  • 5 of 5
Our stay at the Hoh Hideaway was perfect. We did have some blustery weather during our stay and, of course, plenty of rain. But, no matter where we were that weekend, it was going to rain. So, we opted for an adventure! Fortunately, we had some good weather mixed in with the rain. We spent an afternoon at Ruby Beach (about 25 minutes away) where it was actually warm and sunny and still! We were greeted by a bald eagle and a receding tide. Our 4-year old loved the "tree hole" along the Mossy Grove Trail in the backyard of the Hideaway. He was a trooper when we took him to First Beach where the water raged and the wind threatened to blow us out to sea! There was plenty of driftwood to climb on and sea foam blowing around wildly. Undaunted, we walked the Hall of Mosses Trail in the pouring rain. All was good, and if we were to venture back to that part of the state, we would be happy to stay at the Hideaway again. Don't let "winter" keep you away!

GREAT STAY

  • 5 of 5
For us, a Great time.

Place was cozy, no neighbors and just allot of relaxing.

Grill was sit up and ready, it rained of coarse (it's forks), but luckily the grill was on the gazebo and we ate barbecue nice and dry.

Very nice owner, went out of her way to make sure we were taking care off.

All in all, low maintenance, everything thought of (helped allot on a few things we forgot), and secluded. About 14 miles from town, across the way from Hoe Campground.

HIGHLY recommend it.

Enjoy :)
