Villa, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 2.25 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Has been COMPLETELY REMODELED in the Summer of 2011.

Augusta Villas in the Plantation, Venice, Florida. Completely renovated Villa with golf course view and recreational membership to the Plantation Golf and Country Club. New kitchen and tile floors, including new tile in the shower and tub, as well as new furniture highlight the renovation. The Lanai is air conditioned, and the sliding windows with screens make it ideal for year around use. It has a beautiful view of the golf course and is perfect for enjoying the morning and evening hours (or anytime) watching the golfers go by.

There are two bedrooms; the MASTER BEDROOM has a king bed and walk-in closet as well as a dressing area with a vanity and sink. A den off the master bedroom provides sitting space and has a sliding glass door to the front patio. The SECOND BEDROOM has two twin beds and a sliding glass door to the lanai. Each bedroom has an attached bathroom. The MASTER BATH has a shower and the SECOND BATH has a new tub. All all tile is new and vanities are new and have new granite countertops. Both toilets are also new.

The new KITCHEN has recessed lighting that accentuates the granite countertops and driftwood cabinets. A sliding glass door provides access to the front patio and the grill. New stainless steel appliances and a shared counter to the dining and living area help complete this modern kitchen design.

The living room has a pull out couch for additional sleeping space. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms, living and dining rooms and the lanai. The windows in the living room and entry-way are hurricane proof and along with the new lock system provide good security.

About The Owner

The picture shows me sitting in the Captain's chair on the USS Abraham Lincoln ( nuclear aircraft carrier). My son is a Senior Chief stationed in California and at the end of a deployment family members can ride the carriers (as well as other ships) from Hawaii to San Diego on what is called a 'Tiger Cruise'.

My wife and I are retired teachers from Illinois. Our daughter is also a teacher and our youngest son was a Navy Search and Rescue Swimmer and now works for a distributing company and is engaged to be married. We have 4 grandchildren from our oldest son in the Navy (3) and our daughter (1). We like to play golf and love the beach and ocean.

Why The Owner chose Plantation

We bought in the Plantation because we have friends that also have homes here. Also, it is a great place for walking and riding bikes and has a huge swimming pool as well as two smaller pools for people in Augusta Villas. There are also two beautiful golf courses (and many other golf courses in the area). We bought in Venice because it is smaller than Tampa or Ft. Meyers and has great beaches; we love the water.

What makes this villa unique

The beaches are a short ride from the Villa. Shopping is four minutes away and quaint downtown Venice is 10 minutes away. We have a Recreational Membership at the Plantation Golf and Country Club that is transferrable for an $80.00 fee. It allows use of the clubhouse, including restaurants and exercise room, the swimming pool, tennis courts (hourly fee) and the golf course 2-4 times a month (you pay greens fees).

10 minutes to Manasota Beach and 15 to Venice Beach. 10 minutes to beautiful downtown Venice with great restaurants and shopping.

Augusta Villas has two pools that may be used by owners or renters.

We have a Plantation Country Club Recreational Membership that allows use of the big pool, club house, tennis courts and golf courses (you pay an hourly fee for tennis and greens fees for the golf course).

Notes: Our Villa ( single story duplex, no stairs) has been completely remodeled. This includes a new kitchen with granite counter tops, new cabinets and brand new appliances. Also includes new tile floors throughout and new tile in tub and shower; also a new bath tub and toilets. There is new electrical and lighting and new hurricane windows. There is new paint throughout including walls, ceilings, woodwork and doors. The furniture is all new. There is a private drive to Villa and recreational membership to Plantation Golf and Country Club ($80.00 transfer fee) allows use of the club house, pools (3) and tennis courts (rental fee for tennis court) and some use of the golf course (you pay greens fees).
