Set back in a time of peaceful splendor is a charming 4 bedroom cottage of yester-years. Nestled near the quaint town of Eddyville. This wonderful home sits in a perfect spot over looking the sparkling blue main channel waters of Lake Barkley.

The home has many extra's a large yard for play, a screen porch and a beautiful covered wrap around porch. Also steps that lead down to a great fishing and swimming area.

Inside you will feel cozy and comfortable in this newly decorated home with updated appliances. This is a great place to relax but also have some great fun. The location is convenient to many recreational ventures such as golf, marina's, water park, restaurants, and shopping.

The view of the lake is truly spectacular with colorful sunsets and rolling waters. It isn't unusual to sit back on a beautiful day and see a Blue Heron, Pelicans, and even a Bald Eagle. This oasis is the perfect getaway for 1-4 couples or 2 small families.

The view had us sold!!! It is one of the best you will ever see on the Lake. I guess that is why Matthew Lyon who founded Eddyville and Lyon County had once owned this lot ! It is truly a beauty! Our house has all the modern ammenities but yet so much history. Come stay and see for yourself. We would loved to have you!

What makes this house unique

This property is close to Grocery Store, Gas Stations, Restaurants, Marinas plus Golf course and Waterpark. You won't have to go far if you forgot something or if you are wanting to get to some great recreation in!!! Our location is not only convenient it has good paved roads that makes it easy to get you back to the highway.

Family Gathering Spot

Our family of 7 adults and 6 children gathered at this lake house and had a wonderful weekend "retreat." The house accommodated all of us (with the smaller children on our air mattress); the porch and lawn provided wonderful relaxation places; the children loved playing in the yard, and all of us could gather around the larger dining room table for meals. We loved the house and its setting! Coffee on that porch in the early morning light as we watched the lake--FANTASTIC!

We are back in HOT St. Louis safe and sound, but I am truly suffering 59 Lakeview Drive withdrawals.....we absolutely loved your home. We spent so many hours on the spacious porch just enjoying the gorgeous view, watching boats, barges and wildlife. It was simply "serenity" and I want to express my gratitude that you and Jamie allowed us to vacation in your Eddyville home.

Classic waterfront wonder!

We came to this area on a last minute plan to take a quick trip. The house is an older large home that has been remodeled to have all the modern comforts. The home is located on a bluff just off the lake shore and has its own sea shell beach which our son loved to visit several times a day. Close by was a watermark, bison preserve and patti famous restaurant.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Welcome home!

Mom and three girlfriends joined me for a very welcome getaway at this charming, roomy lake house. What a great bit of releif from our dreary Wisconsin spring! It was tough to drag ourselves out the door, but we found exploring this area soooo rewarding. We were fortunate to stumble upon Echo Charlie's at the local marina, and enjoyed a number of great meals at a reasonable price. Also had the pleasure of spending an interesting afternoon in Cadiz. Coming "home" in the evenings was always a welcome respite. Thoroughly relaxing. We're anxious for another visit, and hope to research the origins of Lake Barkley before we come again. Can't imagine there's a better place to stay than Beth and Jamie's lovely lake house!
