2.5 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, sleeps up to 6

The house features 2.5 bedrooms.

Upper floor: one bedroom with full sized bed and one large open area with a queen sized bed and a cot.

Lower floor: full kitchen with brand new appliances (gas stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave), toaster, coffee maker, french press, pots/pans, utensils, etc.; pantry, large living room, TV/DVD (NO CABLE), assorted DVD’s/CD/board games and puzzles; full bath with bathtub/shower, dining room with 9-foot mahogany table, one bedroom with queen bed, one office with bunk beds. Washer and dryer in basement.

House has three window AC units and ceiling fans in two of the rooms on the lower level. Maximum occupancy is 6.

The house also features a screened in porch, and a huge fenced-in backyard (great for kids) with brick patio, chairs, table, and a hammock. Gas grill, charcoal grill, fire pit, and a smoker!

We recently completed a brand new outdoor shower enclosure and fire pit.

New this year: bunk beds! - great for kids 6 years and older.

Sorry, but NO PETS allowed on the premises. The owners suffer from severe allergies.

Also, no smoking allowed inside the house.

The house is located on Historic Old Main Street and is only 2 blocks (a quick stroll) from Bass River and approx 1.4 miles (5 minute drive or 10 minute bike ride) to Nantucket sound beaches. Excellent location to enjoy everything on the Cape - located south of Route 28 – so quiet, but close to stores and just 5 minutes away from Bass River Golf Course. Less than one hour to the Cape Cod National Seashore. Hyannis nightlife and the ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket are a 20-minute drive from the cottage.

Relax, Relax, Relax!!!!!

What a nice Family Vacation, it was just what the doctor ordered. Thank you to Joe for the beautiful house it had everything my family needed. So much room, more then we could possibly use. Like every other renter has voiced, it kind of sinks that it didnt have cable. I myself didnt mind but my two young adult kids found it alittle hard with no TV and no internet.. It just made it more of a family bonding vacation. The location was perfect, close to everything. It was a little too close to the Cape Cod Creamery, if you know what I mean. haha They have THE BEST ice cream, we went every night... yikes! The weather was perfect the whole week, great for the beach. We went to Marthas Vineyard which was great. We took the ferry from Falmouth which was WAY less then going from Hyannis. More of a drive to the ferry but costs less and the ride is shorter. We visted Hyannis three times, really enjoyed it there. Our favorite place was the British Beer Co. , great chowda.. Thanks again Joe!!!

The rental house was very large and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was very close to the beach and all amenities. The only couple of drawbacks were: not having cable...which would have been more of a convenience for our kids. Also the shared driveway wasn't specified and that the fenced in back yard was separate and not right behind the house. The neighbors sharing the driveway were loud and had loud vehicles coming and going at all hours. We were not able to enjoy the fire pit in the backyard at night because we didn't want to leave the kids in the house so far away! All in all a nice place to stay!

Superbe maison spacieuse et bien équipée, grand jardin parfait pour des soirées barbecue et pour les après midi repos, dans un quartier calme. Le trajet en vélo pour la plage est court, super beau, et sans danger.
La maison et le jardin sont propres et bien entretenus.
Nous avons passé un weekend très agréable avec des amis!

Cute house - great location. Highly recommended!

I stayed here with my boyfriend and our friends (another couple) for a long weekend in June. We only got one day of decent weather (the rest of the weekend was rainy & a bit chilly) but we had a great time! We used the bikes and biked down to the beach (a short 1.5 mile ride) and to lunch after the beach. The nearby beach (Bass River beach) was great- very quiet this time of year & very relaxing! The house was cute, well stocked, and clean with plenty of towels and bedsheets/blankets. It's location is also nice- very close to plenty of restaurants, a grocery store, and a bowling alley which makes for a fun activity if it's a rainy or chilly day. The backyard is fairly large & fenced in and has a grill and a fire pit. We had a great time grilling up dinner and making s'mores in the fire pit. The included board games were a great plus too! We live in NYC so the house and location was a great, relaxing escape for us. Also, working with Joe was great! He answered all of my questions beforehand and gave some great recommendations for where to eat and what to do. I would definitely consider staying in this house again if I decide to come back to the Cape for a future visit! Thanks for everything Joe!

Wonderful Vacation!

We would definitely recommend this cottage, we stayed for a weekend and quite enjoyed it. The house is lovely inside, with new appliances, plenty of space, and a comfortable living room. The porch is great for quiet mornings drinking coffee, the large dining room was perfect for games and meals alike, and the living room provided a good place to relax.

Plenty of local access to good restaurants, such as the Hearth & Kettle, lots of things nearby (Cape Cod creamery is a two minute walk, Pirate's Cove a few minutes drive, and the beach only a couple of blocks away). The house is situated close enough to the main road to provide quick access to anything you need, yet is on a quiet enough side street that traffic (and noise) are minimal.

Would definitely recommend this house for anyone to stay, whether for a night or a full week! Dealing with the owner was very simple, the rates were very reasonable, and the house was exactly what we were looking for!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
