PARK THE CAR AT THE CONDO AND WALK EVERYWHERE IN HISTORIC DOWNTOWN HALIFAX!

Halifax Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Location, location, location!

A comfortable, private and convenient condo for your visit to Halifax.

Be right in the heart of the city, close to everything Halifax has to offer. Park your car in the secure underground garage, and walk to all the amenities Halifax has to offer.

Whether you are visiting for a vacation in the beautiful city of Halifax, for business travel, or for the local hospitals, this is the perfect condominum for your stay! Located in historic downtown Halifax, this modern condo is close to shops, restaurants, the Halifax business center, and our world famous boardwalk and waterfront. It is also a short walk to both Dalhousie and St. Mary's Universities, as well as the IWK and VG Hospitals. A 2-minute walk to the Westin Hotel, the brand new Seaport Farmers' Market, Pier 21, two grocery stores and pharmacies, this condo is sure to meet all your needs!

Our condo is a comfortable and tastefully furnished 2-bedroom unit with over 1000 square feet of living space in a safe, secure building. The condo is certainly not a hotel and we hope it feels more like a home to our guests.

Each very large bedroom suite has a pillow-top queen sized bed, linens, and ample closet and dresser space to spread out and really make yourself at home. We also have two pack-and-play baby pens for those visitors who are traveling with young children that are kept in the unit.

The spacious living room has a big comfortable sectional couch and arm chair, a 40' LCD TV, as well as premium digital cable with full HDTV service and unlimited wireless connection.

Should you find yourself wanting to eat in or entertain, our condo has a full sized dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, dishes, coffeemaker, kettle, utensils and all the basics you will desire when you arrive (salt, pepper, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc.) On those hot summer days, enjoy the gas BBQ on the private outside patio that quietly faces the back of the building.

For those who wish to stay connected, there is complimentary wireless high speed internet access for all your computers and devices. The condo is also equipped with a cordless phone that can be used for calling locally, free of charge.

For your added convenience, the building also has a bright, clean and secure underground parking and a live-in building superintendent.

Why Kurtis Peterson chose Halifax

I originally grew up in Ontario and at the age of 7 my parents decided to move the family to Halifax for a 'lifestyle change' and have never looked back. We live abroad but return to Halifax a few times a year to visit friends and family (and the ocean!)

Downtown Halifax gives you the conveniences of a large metropolitan city, with the warmth and charm of the Canadian Maritimes. You will never meet more hospitable, down-to-earth people than Nova Scotians and we are confident that they will convey how truly proud they are of where they come from.

Enjoy your stay in Halifax and all the unique sights that this beautiful and historic city has to offer!

What makes this condo unique

Our condo is right in the heart of the city. There are a lot of rentals around Halifax, but very few directly downtown, nor are many clean, cut condos. You are walking distance to just about everything; shopping, restaurants, bars, our famous boardwalk and all the tourist attractions (the Halifax citadel, Pier 21, the Maritime Museum, Nova Scotia crystal, the Public Gardens, Alexander Keith's Nova Scotia Brewery, Spring Garden Road, the halifax explosion graveyard, the Halifax Metro Centre, Casino Nova Scotia as well as countless yearly festivals and events and more!). It is also handy to hospitals and both Dalhousie and St. Mary's Universities.

Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us directly by email and we would be happy to help!

Good Location

  • 4 of 5
My wife and I stayed two weeks in this apartment in midsummer. The apartment is a little dreary with poor views out of the windows, however the apartment is clean, safe and secure, a block away from a large grocery store and a liquor store, and near the east end of the boardwalk. The beds were comfortable , all extra towels , toilet paper, garbage bags and paper towels were provided. We ate all our meals in the apartment. The kitchen had most everything you would want except for a chef knife for cutting and chopping and perhaps a large pot for cooking lobsters. We bought two 2lb. lobsters at one of the fish markets on the road to Bedford and had a hard time getting both in the largest pot in the kitchen.
The rent on the apartment seems a little high but there appears to be few condo or apartments for rent for a week or two in Halifax.

Great Condo Experience

  • 4 of 5
We had the pleasure of staying in this condo for a week while visiting and taking care of my Dad's needs. It was everything that I hoped and needed it to be; comfortable with all of the amenities to make my week easier. After flying across the country, what a relief to walk in and see the condo, just as the photos showed it to be; welcoming with a comfortable bed and the basics. The location was perfect; close to Dad's nursing home, Atlantic Superstore, the water front, and anything and everything we could want or need. We will be booking another week this year as soon as my vacation time is booked again through work. Many thanks to Tiffany and Kurtis.

Great spot!

  • 4 of 5
We recently stayed at this location for a week and had a wonderful time. This condo is close to everything and was very clean and comfortable. The superintendant in the building was very friendly and helpful as well. We enjoyed being able to walk to Tim Horton's, Superstore and the liquor store! There is a lovely park just down the road and harbour is within walking distance. The Farmers Market located near Peir 21 is a must see. I only wish we had more time as it is only open on Saturdays and we stumbled upon it on our first day and it was closing soon.

The condo had all the amenities that are necessary. The beds were comfortable and rooms were nice and large and set a good distance apart for privacy. The iron was not working but I notified the owners so I am sure they will take care of it. Kurtis and Tiffany (the owners) were easy to reach by email if necessary. One slight negative (for us) was that there was no air conditioning. While the condo does have a fan in each bedroom we were quite uncomfortable. I have been told by friends that have travelled to Halifax that normally the temperatures are cooler at night and being near the water there isn't much need for air conditioning but if you are used to air conditioning it is just something to be aware of.

We enjoyed travelling to Joggins Cliffs, Peggy's Cove, L'Acadie, Dartmouth and of course touring around Halifax. It is a beautiful province and well worth the trip. We did the Murphy's Whale Watch boat tour and unfortunately we didn't see any whales. We asked one of the fellows on the boat and he said there hadn't been any sightings for a week! Leave the whale watching to Boston, Mass. Hopper boat tour was not really worth the money for the one exciting moment when the truck turns into a boat and floats out into the harbour and then turns around and comes back.

Oh, one more thing to mention which is not a negative just a point. The underground parking is quite tight and we had rented a big SUV! If and when we return and YES we would stay here again we would rent a smaller car to make parking a little easier! Also, Halifax downtown is very busy so a smaller car would have made parallel parking on the street a little less stressful!

All in all a great place to stay, would and have recommended it already to people and would not hesitate to stay again. Glad we stayed here.

This condo is clean and close to everything!

  • 5 of 5
We returned to Halifax for a family get-together and decided to try out a week long apartment/condo rental, versus staying @ a local hotel. We wanted more space, and to be in the prime downtown location, close to amenities and restaurants, and attractions. We really lucked out with this place! It was spacious, clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything from microwave, dishwasher, BBQ, to soap, candles and hot chocolate; all for a similar price of a regular hotel room. It had parking included but we didn't use it. Booking the unit was made easy by owners, Kurtis and Tiffany, and the superintendent lives in the building and checked in with us regularly. A great stay in a great place! We will happily return.

Location was great, 2 blocks from waterfront, great proximity Pier 21, Grocery store, liquor store and pub. Barrington street shopping right up the road. Owner was excellent to deal with as well, the landlady was attentive and friendly. Large bedrooms and lots of room, can easly accomadate 4 people. Undergound parking is a huge plus.

Great Condo experience

  • 5 of 5
Our family rented this condo while we were in Halifax for our son's graduation from university. It exceeded our expectations with regards to location and accommodation. We were with elderly grandparents and the ease of access was exactly what we were hoping for. The great location allowed us easy access to downtown attractions as well as everyday necessities (grocery store, pharmacy, etc.) There was nothing we lacked for. Rick was extremely helpful with arrangements and the building superintendent was approachable and very helpful. We will definitely be recommending it to family and friends and will definitely be booking with Rick again if we are back in Halifax.
