Luxurious 3 Bedroom, 3.5 Bath Condo. Located directly on the beach. Walk out the back door and jump in the pool or surf one of the best spots in C.R., or simply stroll the beach. All bedrooms have private baths and large plasma screen TV'S Sony Playstations, and I-pod docking stations. A huge projection TV is located in the den for watching movies, TV, and gaming (X-Box 360). There is a large video library for movies and games. High speed internet and cable TV are available. Exclusive Playa Langosta, is only a few minutes from the lively town of Tamarindo Costa Rica. The development was designed by nationally renowned architect Abraham Velenzula. It was Just completed in June 2007. This unit is located directly on Playa Langosta on the first floor with easy beach and pool Access. There is no need to climb stairs for a drink or use the restroom when enjoying the pool and beach. Keeping an eye on kids is easy too. Playa Langosta is surrounded by scenic white sand beaches.

Activities and climate: There so much to do! With sunny skies, warm water, active volcanoes, mountains and two oceans Costa Rica's activity list is quite long. There are three World class golf courses within 15 minutes, national forest with volcanoes and thermal hot springs less than an hour away, world class fishing, surfing, tree canopy tours, snorkeling, scuba diving, white water rafting, jet skis, animal and bird watching tours, horseback riding, estuary tours, kayaking, mountain biking and fabulous spas, restaurants and nightlife just to name a few things.

Area: The condominium Horizontes Del Mar is located on Playa Langosta, a pristine secluded beach. Fine white sand, cobalt blue water, stunning natural beauty and a central location make Playa Langosta one of the most scenic and desired ocean side destinations in Costa Rica. Two great surf breaks are located behind the condo (El Sapo and Playa Langosta river-mouth). Within minutes are fabulous restaurants, and exciting night life. A small grocery store is a short walk from the front door and the town of Tamarindo has anything you need, Restaurants, nightlife etc.

Why This unit: The Unique Benefits of this Condo. This is the only 3 bedroom unit on the beach level. This unit is unique because you Don't have to Drag all of your stuff (coolers,drinks,towels,beach bags, books,etc) Up & Down from the upper floors to enjoy the pool or beach. All you do is walk out the back door. If you are by the pool or on the beach and need a bathroom, or something to eat or drink, there's no problem here.

1 hour from the international airport in Liberia Costa Rica. 3 minute drive south (10 minute walk) of Tamarindo. Directly north and next to the RPM Realestate Management office. 200 meters north of the 'Bahi Langosta Barcelo Hotel'. The area and climate. The condo development is located in northwest section of Costa Rica known as Guanacaste. Its a very popular area for luxury resorts and spas. Guanacaste is a rolling spread of golden hills and verdant mountains with stunning white sand beaches and blue water. If sun is what you want this is the right area for you. Average daytime temperatures are 85-90 F with nights in the high 70's F. Water temperatures hover at about 80 F. The dry season is from December-April and the Green season is May-November

Golf: Golfers rejoice! There are three world class golf courses within 20 minutes of the cond. These courses were designed by the likes of Robert Trent Jones Jr at Playa Conchal and Mike Young course at hacienda Pinilla. The Central American championship has been held here the last few years. You can golf until your arms fall off as the crowds are thin and the greens are healthy

It makes it very easy to watch children too. Also, unlike the upper units you have a PRIVATE covered patio at beachside/poolside with a high speed ceiling fan and custom made super comfortable loungers right next to the pool overlooking the beach!!! Everyone else has to sit in the heat or under an umbrella fanning themselves. Ahhhh, comfort and convenience are pricelss on vacation.

we were 9 of us.7 adults and two kids...and we were all very comfortable as if though we were home..the manager bob ..great guy pay attention to details..we were surprise when we got there there was two extra beds for us.
great lonely roads for jogging,gym close by,nice pool,modern kithcen..we plan to return next year again.

Perfect spot

We have stayed at this spot for two years now. It is fabulous! The pictures and descriptions on this site are quite accurate. Have traveled to many areas in the world, very often staying in rental apartments/homes and this is definitely one of the best. It is high end, safe,spacious and quiet. I can think of nothing negative.

What a treat to open the patio doors and step into the pool or walk about 50 yards to the beach. The beach is typical for the area- wide, clean and goes for miles. I often would go for a run and once past the immediate area, would rarely pass more that half a dozen people on the beach. Ocean is great for surfing and with a few minute's walk, you can find an area appropriate for swimming.

The manager of the property is a real gem. He will organize anything, provide accurate advice and ensure your vacation is as perfect as possible. He personally took us grocery shopping after picking us up at the local airport. Above and beyond anything I have encountered before.

First year we rented a car but the second year decided we really didn't need one. We walked into town for evening meals with no problem. Lots of great restaurants. Typical little tourist shops.

I would recommend this place and location to anyone including friends and family. You will not be disappointed. If we can manage it, we will be back again this coming year!

Dream condo!!!

This place exceeded all our expectations. We've been going to Costa Rica for many years and this is by far the nicest place we have ever rented. The only problem is, I don't know how I will ever convince my family to go anywhere else in CR. Being right on the beach, able to come and go anytime, was priceless. I did worry that it might be loud with the shared pool right in front of us, but we practically had the place to ourselves and the guests that were there during our stay were considerate. Lastly, but importantly, the beds and bedding were of a very high standard. This is not common in CR. My daughter still talks about the projection screen/TV in the living room. We found a video rental place in Tamarindo or you could bring some movies from home.

We stayed in in this unit for 5 days and loved every minute of it. We are 5 middle-aged "surfers" and this place couldn't have been better. This is a great unit for any occasion and any age group, including families with children. Bob took care of things when we needed him. The pictures are 100% accurate and we scored pretty good waves while we were there. It truly is on the beach and the pool is nice as well. It's a newer unit, so the finishes and quality of construction are terrific. It was very quiet, and the neighbors in this condo development are very nice. It is close to "downtown" Tamarindo, which is also very convenient. I was responsible for organizing this surf trip, and my friends said I "batted 1000%". This unit was one of the main reasons why.

Prettier than the pictures

My husband and I and two good friends stayed at this lovely apartment for 10 days and loved every moment of our stay. Best parts: You're directly on the beach--there's nothing between you and the ocean; you're on the first level of the condo which means you have direct access to the outdoors; the condo is beautifully furnished and maintained. Other friends stayed at a large, busy hotel in. town but this was not our idea of a relaxing vacation. We had no car but hiring a taxi was cheap and easy.We walked to some fine restaurants recommended by Bob Wilson,CalaLuna was outstanding--their homemade bread was fantastic! We took a catamaran trip where saw rare birds, crocodiles (close up)! and monkeys who visited us on board to eat bananas, went ziplining, searched for seashells,took a day-long cruise that ended with a spectacular sunset. Hey, I forgot--ALL the days ended that way!
It's a great place for anyone: relax and just listen to the surf or,enjoy the many activities available.
Only drawback was no phone service in the condo. But I used Skype on my computer to reach Bob and he always answered or promptly returned my call.
