Wonderful Balara Manor

We have had the incredible opportunity to stay at beautiful Balara Manor two times. Once in February 2008 and again in August 2010. Each experience was out of this world!
Balara Manor is a beautiful five bedroom home. Much of the house was recently renovated in 2010 and the home is furnished with the most beautiful pieces and decor. The house is perfect for large groups and intimate enough for small families. There are beautiful views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea from the expansive living room and dining room area. The house is equipped with a flat screen tv, great sound system, and free WiFi so that you can Skype your friends back home and give them a "taste" of this amazing place. The owners have even collected a variety of "island" CD's for you to enjoy.
The best part of Balara Manor is its location. It is situated right on the beach! You can walk right out the front door, along a pathway that winds through the amazing landscaped yard, to the pergola by the water. Here you can have cocktails, play with the kids, sunbathe, or venture in the ocean for a swim. If you're lucky you might even catch a glimpse of a sting ray! In August, the ocean was warm and inviting. My husband and our three year old son spent hours there playing and enjoying the beautiful sunshine.
If you walk along the beach you will find thousands of shells! It is truly amazing. Along this deserted beach you can collect shells, build sand castles, enjoy the marine life, and observe incredible tropical birds. It is an experience you will never forget.
The house is located close to many other deserted "white" sand beaches that you will have to frequent. Some beaches are on the Caribbean side of the island, while others are on the Atlantic. They are all unique and the most beautiful beaches in the world.
The town of Governor's Harbour is a quick drive. There you can shop for groceries (everything that you would need), fill your car with gas, take in a movie, or eat at the most fantastic restaurants! On Friday nights you'll need to go to Cupid's Cay and enjoy the music and food at the local fish fry. Day trips exploring the island are a must!
The owners are very accommodating and will help you to make your trip very memorable. It's surprising that they are willing to share this beautiful home and island with others.
Eleuthera and Balara Manor are places that dreams are made of. Enjoy your trip to this breath-taking island and incredible tropical home.
