Private beachfront home situated on 2 acres facing beautiful sunsets over the Beaufort River. This old southern family beach house was renovated throughout with a new kitchen, bath, new stone and wood floors, and air conditioning system. 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and pure serenity is all right here at 13 Fort Freemont. A huge screen porch offers as much square footage as the home itself. Plenty of seating on the porch with a ceiling fan for cooling and screened in for relaxing or dining. This home is a beautiful place to sleep, play, and wake up to every morning. And if you are looking for a ground level house with zero stairs, this is the perfect spot for you!
One bedroom offers a full size bed with nightstands, and a private entrance in and out of the home. The second bedroom has two twin beds for the children to enjoy with a television for movies or gaming. The third room is almost like a little private nook with a captain window to watch the ocean. Kids love this room the best. It has one single bed raised high off the floor (this bedroom is best suited for someone between the ages of 8-50).
The upgraded kitchen has new appliances and dining for 4. Shelving in the kitchen gives storage space for groceries along with plenty of cabinet and counter space. This cute little hideaway is perfect for any family. Outdoor space is endless and the beach is just minimal steps away.
Great fishing, shrimping, crabbing, sailing and swimming right out front on deepwater. Bring your boat right up to the beach! Perfect for kids or a romantic getaway on a quiet beach. Pets accepted with permission and a non-refundable pet fee ($300). Castaways Cottage is adjacent to the historic Fort Fremont land preserve. Suggestions for our boat touring friends - come anchor your boat in Port Royal Sound off the beach in front of the home and bring your dinghy to shore in the evenings.
We have many amenities nearby: Kayaking, Tennis, Beach, Hiking, Fishing, Boating. We also have a cinema and a drive in theatre. There are many special events in our area throughout the year. LIKE Seaside Getaways Facebook page to keep in touch.
On our barrier islands, the tides are semi-diurnal, which means that our shoreline experiences two almost equal high tides and two low tides each day. At high tide, the water can swell to an average of 7-9 foot tides. At low tide, you will find plenty of sand to tan!
My family has owned this house for a long time and we grew up spending summers fishing right here. We have a house downtown Beaufort on Bay Street that my father grew up in when he was a child.
We used this place as a fish camp for many many years before we decided to open up our home and share this beautiful spot with others.
