Experience the many moods of the landmark lighthouse, watch an incredible sunset over the lake, enjoy outdoor fun in the sun or the snow, relax inside the cozy home and enjoy the tranquility of this spectacular retreat and make memories with family and friends.

As you approach the home from the private walking path, you will experience the visual delight of being surrounded on three sides by 1000 feet of water frontage. The shallow, low-sloping, sandy frontage to the west is like a big kiddie pool and perfect for swimming and lots of water fun. The deep, calm water to the southeast is a fishing hotspot and a quiet place to enjoy the sunrise. Lounge in a variety of vantage points overlooking the lake and enjoy amazing sunsets. Enjoy a lakeside bonfire pit after dark.

The 3 bedroom, 2 bath home can accomodate groups of one or more families. All bedrooms are decorated in up-north decor and have log post beds. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and one of them also has a twin trundle bed. One bedroom even has a unique, cozy kids' loft sleeping / play area. There is a sofa bed in the family room and an extra wide couch in the sunroom. Also, during the summer months, there are two chair beds in the gazebo and two different sized tents that are provided.

What makes this house unique

The property is a peaceful getaway on Spider Lake which is an all sports lake approx. 500 acres with the nearby conveniences of Traverse City for shopping, dining, entertainment, wine tasting, etc. Exciting day trips may include outings to Empire/Glen Arbor for the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, wine tasting and fantastic water views while driving up Old Mission Peninsula, shopping, dining, wine tasting and exploring the Grand Traverse Lighthouse on Leelanau Peninsula. Horseback riding and canoeing are nearby. In the Winter, Mount Holiday Ski Area is 15 minutes away for sking, snowboarding and a tubing hill. Doorstep access to the snowmobile trail system. What a relaxing place...

The end of a wonderful week, and we would like to stay here in this little corner of Paradise forever. So breathtakingly beautiful with water all around and total privacy! This home has everything you could possibly need and more! Nice shallow sandy beach is great for sunning and playing in the water. Water view from every window. Fantastic sunrises and sunsets! Only down side was the steering didn't really on the paddle boat so we were unable to use it. It would have been fabulous to tool around the lake on.

Fun for all

We spent a week in June and it was a great vacation spot. Kayaks, pontoon boat, and paddle boats got lots of use. Dogs loved the shallow water on one side, and we fished the other side of the peninsula--catching enough for a fish fry for 6 our final evening. Could always find a sunny or shady spot on the peninsula--and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Pontoon was not fancy (lawn chairs rather than built in seating and no awning), but never failed us as we explored the 500 acre lake. Fire pit was fun. Home is clean and well equipped--with modern kitchen. Amy, the property manager was great too! Visited Traverse City and wineries too.
