This beautiful waterfront home is your perfect family or intimate retreat. The home looks out to Hales Passage, Mt. Baker and The Sisters mountains. At the water’s edge you will be captivated by the sight of Bald Eagles perched in the tree and heron’s fishing off the beach.
The living room features comfortable seating, large screen TV, DVD and stereo system. You can select from a variety of books available for our guests to borrow during their stay and snuggle up for a good read by the warm and inviting fireplace. The kitchen provides everything one needs to prepare a simple snack or a full gourmet meal. The stove and BBQ are gas fuel. The bedrooms feature luxury linens, duvets, and electric blankets on all the beds. Outside you will find a huge deck which runs the whole length of the house. The deck is furnished with a large dining table with umbrella and chairs and teak chaise lounges. We have an abundance of beautifully planted pots which attract hummingbirds and butterflies. The BBQ is also located on the deck with a dedicated propane hook up. No empty propane tanks to worry about.
This beachfront private home sits on 1 and a half acres with over 200 feet of your own driect beach access which extends to the low tidelands with easy access to boating, swimming, and beach combing. We are located within easy driving, walking or cycling distance from the ferry landing, grocery store, post office, library and the Beach Store Café. All located less than 1 mile away.
A short 10-minute ferry ride takes you from the Mainland to Lummi Island, which has a population of around 850 people. Day trips can easily be made to Vancouver BC, Seattle or Mt Baker. You are 20 minutes from shopping in Bellingham, Lynden, and the Canadian border. The outlet malls are a little further away but WORTH it!!
Saturdays feature a seasonal farmer’s market from June through August. You can purchase fresh produce, pastries, and the local artists have their work available for sale. There are two restaurants and a coffee shop on the Island as well as a general grocery store which also carries beer and wine. Two churches on the Island hold services Sunday mornings--Island Chapel meets at the Lummi Island Grange Hall across the street from the post office and about a block north of the ferry dock. The charming century old white church is a short distance away on the west side of the Island.
In addition the Island has a number of great massage therapists who can provide in home service.
Keywords: Beautifully decorated family friendly home overlooking Hales Passage and it's own private beach. This property is an ideal location for a beachfront wedding or a family reunion. Comfortably suits a maximum of 8 people, inclusive of children with a minimum three nite stay. Sorry we do not allow pets.

There is a 50 acre nature preserve with trails directly adjacent to the property.
