Carol and Greg are native Houstonians who moved to Austin in 1996, although Greg worked as a musician and Carol attended UT in Austin in the 70's. Greg has returned to being a full time musician and Carol now practices acupuncture in our home and also in a clinic.

Please let us know if you are interested in an Acupuncture Treatment, Massage, or Herbal Consultation.

Greg and Carol Jackson purchased this apartment in 2005

We had lived out in the Hill Country and decided that we wanted to live in town when Carol started her acupuncture practice. We fell in love with the Hyde Park neighborhood and neighbors, as well as our 100+ year old Victorian home. Greg is an accomplished builder and carpenter, so the wonderful old house offers many remodeling project opportunities - we're not quite finished!

We love living here in the historic Hyde Park neighborhood where we actually know and visit with our neighbors. This is a place where everyone gets out for walks, jogs, and bike rides and everyone takes the time to get to know one another. We know our guests will experience this first hand as they walk to one of the nearby restaurants or other closeby attractions

A perfect "Gem" in the heart of Austin

We just returned home from a wonderful week in Austin. The apartment, in such a quiet beautiful neighborhood, was the perfect place to call home. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating such a wonderful vacation home and no detail was missed. The high-end appliances were great for creating that special meal and the private patio with a grill were the perfect spot to cook up a Texas steak. The fresh flowers were a nice touch, along with all the special toiletries, etc. Greg and Carol are such friendly, helpful hosts and certainly made us feel welcome. A day trip to Longhorn Caverns, 60 miles west, with a stop at the Salt Lick BBQ near Driftwood was very enjoyable. We had always heard of Texas BBQ so had to experience it for ourselves. Also, we took a day trip to San Antonio to the Alamo and Riverwalk, which we highly recommend. One of our favorite spots was Freddie's Place for dinner, where a side of onion rings would feed at least 4 people. The music of Voyces, which were playing that evening, was amazing and we are loving the CD Greg - thanks. With so much to see and do in Austin and such easy access to it all from the apartment, it will be the only spot we ever stay.

My wife and I spent the past weekend here and had a fantastic time.

This apartment is a perfect spot for a weekend getaway for two people. Spacious, immaculate, and very peaceful. Greg has done an unbelievable job with this place. Great little neighborhood right in Hyde Park....5-10 minute walk to several great food/drink spots (Dolce Vita, Julio's, Asti, to name a few). Also quick drive to downtown.

Greg and Carol are great hosts as well and were very helpful during our stay. Thanks for everything! We really hope we can come back again sometime!

We loved staying in this HomeAway in the Hype Park neighborhood of Austin, TX. The apartment is beautiful with many special details. We were comfortable in each room. The kitchen and bathroom are convenient. The neighborhood is quiet and the historic aspect of the area makes this HomeAway even more inviting. We wanted to stay longer!

We were in Austin for a 1 week musical event at UT. This rental worked out perfectly for us. It was very comfortable. Very clean and tastefully furnished with lots of info for those new to Austin. We were able to easily walk to the U or took the free UT bus on Red River Rd. The apt had all the amenities and a nicely equipped kitchen. All the comforts of home.
Would certainly rent again next trip to Austin and definitely recommend to others with no reservation. Gregg and Carol were a pleasure to work with.
