The property is located 1.5 miles west of Tralee on the main Dingle road. Tralee is the capital town of Kerry located at the gateway to the Dingle Peninsula in the South West of Ireland. Visitors will be spoilt for choice with all the activities available, that is should they manage to leave the house at all!!

For those who wish to enjoy the beauty of Kerry there are many beautiful beach walks minutes away, hill side walking and for the energetic you could always try and climb Irelands two highest peaks, Mount Brandon (3000 ft) and Carrantuohill(4,400 ft), weather permitting. Tralee Equestrian Centre is a five minute drive away.
For the rainy days Tralee offers bowling, cinema, the Aquadome (indoor water activity) and Manor West Shopping Centre. As Tralee is home to the National Folk Theatre of Ireland also known as Siamsa Tire, there are regular shows and plays throughout the year.

County Kerry (also known as the Kingdom) is situated in the south west of Ireland. The Blasket Islands off the coast of Dingle are Europe's most westerly point, the next stop is America.
Since the famine of the 1840's millions of Irish emigrated, mostly to the United States of America. A famine ship know as the Jeanie Johnston left from Tralee for America with many Kerry people on board. A replica of this ship was reconstructed in Tralee in the 1990's and this ship is now docked in Dublin. It is interesting to note that no immigrant perished on this ship.
Numerous Americans claim Irish ancestry and with 2013 being the year of 'The Gathering', it is an ideal time for people to come to Ireland and look up relatives to complete the family tree. I can guarantee you a warm welcome and as we say here, 'Cead Mile Failte'.
I look forward to meeting you here and will have some homemade Irish treats ready in the kitchen for you on your arrival.
