A spacious comfortable 3 bedroom modern appartment with shared swimming pool. There are large balconies at the front and back. It is a five minute walk to the beach and the delightful fishing village of Camogli with its painted house, and old port. Camogli offers restaurants with typical Ligurian food, water sports, hiking and biking for those who love outdoor activities. There are bars, caffes, chic boutiques and the possibility of excursions to the nearby towns of Portofino, Santa Margherita and the lively city of Genoa with its museums and narrow cobbled streets.

I am an English widow who has lived and worked in Italy 40 years. I live just outside Florence in a 14th century tower with lots of stairs and a magnificent view of the city.
I worked as a resident buyer with my husband for many years. It was very hard work but interesting and put you in contact with all sorts of people many of whom became lifelong friends. My American husband died 2 years, and I would like to spend more time travelling
instead of passing the summer at the beach. I love music, theatre, old Italian films and picnics in the country. I have five step-grandchildren in the New York area, and three great nieces in Scotland and I love them all to bits.

My late husband visited Camogli in the late 1960's and fell in love with this unique place.
It is completely unspoiled - walking down the narrow streets with the painted houses you feel as if you are in the 15th century. Genoa has an international airport and there is is a frequent
train service from Camogli to other town along the coast
Relaxing on the balcony at 7.00 pm with a glass of prosecco, taking a dip in the pool in the early morning, walking to Camogli after dinner to listen to music at the port or meet friends for a drink, taking a boat trip to swim at San Fruttuoso, a cove in the mountain of Portofino, eating pasta and pesto at one of the typical restaurants - going to Portofino and seeing the mega yachts moored and wondering who they belong to. Walking on the mountain of Portofino with its unparalled sea views and the smell of pine trees.
My husband, three teenage daughters, and I spent three relaxing days at Sylvia's flat. We scrambled up and down Camogli's cobbled hillside paths, stopping often for a picture or just to enjoy the breathtaking views. We loved wandering by the sea, swimming in the stunningly turquoise water or grabbing delicious focaccia, pizza, and (of course) gelato from a seaside shop. The apartment was charming and perfectly located for exploring the Cinque Terra region. The pool in the complex was a plus. Driving and parking are tricky, but once established we got all over using buses and feet. This stop was a highlight on our amazing Italian adventure. We hope to return soon!
I cannot rave enough about the apartment in Camogli. We've just returned from our trip and we so enjoyed our stay there - we only wish we could have been there longer than three days! Sylvia's apartment was absolutely gorgeous. The keeper met us at the gate promptly on time (we were fairly nervous, as we had no idea where we were going, never having been to the Ligurian coast) and showed us the whole space. It's charming, clean, and set up nicely for visitors. The common spaces were absolutely lovely, and I loved throwing open the doors and windows and letting the breeze blow through the apartment. I can't say enough how conveniently it is located - it is a ten minute walk down the hill to downtown Camogli, and Genova and Milan are not far by car. We loved being up on a hill (mind you, a steep one!) and having views out over the town. The pool in the apartment complex is very nice and was perfect after a long day of sight-seeing. Camogli itself is WONDERFUL. It's not a huge tourist destination, especially compared to Portofino or Santa Margherita, so it actually was relatively quiet in the evenings, but the city itself still has so much to offer. We went to the street market on Wednesday morning, which was very fun, and also took a day excursion by boat to San Fruttuoso and Portofino (both of which I recommend, especially San Fruttuoso... it is SO beautiful!). I also recommend eating at Ristorante Da Paolo in Camogli, which we found in a food guide to Italy - you might need reservations, and it doesn't have a view of the ocean, but it was THE best seafood I have ever eaten in my life.
One note to travelers who are renting the apartment - it gets rather warm while we were there, even with the sea breezes, so by necessity, the windows are open all night. However, this also means that you get woken up fairly early with the sound of seagulls, so I would recommend bringing ear plugs. I would also say that it might be a bit of a tight fit if you had 5 people staying (we had 4).
Sylvia was a pleasure to do business with. She does not use paypal, so I had to send the payment by check to her apartment. This made me extremely nervous, as I'm used to online transactions, but Sylvia couldn't have been more wonderful. She sent me numerous emails answering my questions and sending additional pictures of the apartment, and she was hugely helpful throughout the entire process.
My family and I had a wonderful stay, and I can't recommend this place more!
My son and I stayed at this property in Camogli, and we were delighted. The apartment is beautifully situated, close to the town, and overlooks the sea. There are two balconies, lots of light, a full-service kitchen, fully-functioning wireless and, because it is on the top and fourth floor, it is quiet and offers a commanding view.
Camogli is lovely, San Fruttuoso is charming and Cinque Terre is a train ride away. We hiked a portion of the Cinque Terre, accessing all five towns by train. There are restaurants galore, clean waters for swimming and wonderful seafood.
For us, Camogli was the perfect destination because it was less crowded than many of the other Ligurian sea towns, but close to everything we wanted. The apartment offered us every convenience we could have wanted. We're already planning our return.
I was traveling solo and had booked this after looking at many places on line. The pictures are accurate and description as well. I love to walk so the walking into town was a pleasure for me and the uphill coming back. If you have problems with walking hills this wouldn't be for you.
I was very comfortable in this spacious apartment with all the amenities. Even being alone I felt safe coming in and out all hours of the day. Ispent three weeks here and it was perfect!
The owner and the apt. manager were easy to get ahold of and I was well taken care of.
You can't go wrong with this apartment or location and it would be great for a group of people or family.
Camogli is wonderful!!
My husband and I spent a week at this apartment and loved it. The town of Camogli is lovely, and not too busy in the first week of September. We enjoyed the local fresh pasta and sauce, and several of the restaurants and cafes. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed many meals on the balcony overlooking the beautiful view. Nearby hiking to San Rocco/San Frutuosso was spectacular, and ferry ride back a deserved treat. We originally meant to venture out to Genova and Cinque Terre, but couldn't leave where we were as we were enjoying it so much - maybe if we'd had more time....
Camogli and the surrounding towns are simply magical. Between the
The property is spotless and extremely well maintained, and the owner is completely knowledgeable about the area and helpful in all regards. The description is accurate, and the photos don't begin to show the beauty of the area.
I would highly recommend this property without hesitation to friends and relatives.
I love to hike in the mountain of Portofino, San Rocco, the little beach at the cove in San Fruttuoso, visiting Cinque Terra, taking my children to cooking school and the aquarium of Genoa, local markets in Camogli, Santa Margharita, Rappallo, exploring the villages, the sea, the fantastic food. Loved a restaurant called Xodo at the harbor, and also a little bar in a cliff at San Rocco.
