It is walking distance to restaurants and the Nature Reserve Las Cabezas de San Juan, where you can go night kayaking to the bioluminescent bay. Drive less than 2 minutes to Las Croabas fisherman’s village: a tourist area where you can take water taxis or catamaran snorkeling full day trips to small cays like Palominito and Icacos; El Conquistador Hotel & Casino with golf course, restaurants, spa and tennis courts. The famous Luquillo Beach and El Yunque Tropical Rain Forest are only 15 min. away. Hospital, supermarkets,Walmart, shopping center, restaurants, ferry to Vieques & Culebra are all less than 5 min. from our property.
First of all we want to thank you for a wonderful place to stay. It met all of our needs for the week, was neat and clean, well maintained, had a table large enough for all 8 of us to share a meal. Air conditioning worked well all week. The pool was fantastic for cooling down and Seven Seas beach was wonderful.
The weather was perfect. High 80’s and sunny during the day, cooling off nicely in the evening. we only had brief sprinkles 2 times during the week. Buena Suerte maybe? (we got to put our Spanish to good use.)
We went to El Yunque twice, hiking to several water falls, the tower on the way to the peak. Took the Angel trail and spent time jumping into the river from the rope swing. Went to Humacao park, spent a day in Old San Juan, went Scuba diving and snorkeling, and ate at many wonderful restaurants. The Bio bay kayak trip with Island adventure tours was an incredible experience I’d recommend for all your guests. Price after tax and park fee was $51 PP. Went to Mass at an AWESOME little Catholic church on hwy 3 near Luquillo. Even though mass was in Spanish we understood enough of it to get by. At the end of mass we were “called out” as visitors and said we were from Chicago. This turned out to be an incredible thing as Father then went on to say he had been in Chicago the week before and had completed the Chicago marathon. He was so proud of his accomplishment he actually pulled out his medal and showed it gleefully to the congregation as he talked about his experience there. Connected us all in a way.
We really enjoyed the Blue Iguana restaurant at the Fajardo Inn. We actually went there 2 nights in a row. They offered a daily special all 7 days of the week. The food is quite reasonably priced compared to several restaurants we ate at and was VERY good quality with huge portions. Dinner at Don Pepe’s across from El Yunque was great, as was dinner at Costa Mia. Dinner at La Estacion was incredible but very expensive. It was our treat to ourselves for the week.
We shopped at both Econo and Ralph’s groceries. Found the best price on Rum at the cash and carry store on Avenida Valero. The bakaria on El Conquistador was wonderful. 16 pastries for only $12. Verizon cell phone service worked without roaming.
One thing that should be arranged for is a good map of the island. the Rental car map was not sufficient.
Our group was basically flying blind into PR when we booked this room and activities for our stay. I could not have been more pleased with the condo or Norma's availability and assistance. Not only was the condo more than we could have expected, Norma sent me 15 links of stuff to do on the island. She was also available anytime I had questions. What more can you ask for?
After reading all of the other reviews I understand why everyone clearly stated how accommodating Norma was to them. Let me first say, having traveled all over the U.S., Mexico and Europe and having stayed at many different places, she is beyond wonderful and that holds true for before, during and after our trip! Any time we had questions, she would immediately respond. Norma and her daughter did a better job with giving us suggestions on things to do then a travel agent would have done. Two years ago we stayed in a condo on the 13th floor on Luquillo Beach and granted the view was spectacular but people have to understand when you are only on the 3rd floor you are going to have power lines, trees, etc., that's just reality. We could not have asked for a nicer condo or owner/manager to deal with. Everything we needed was there. Any time I had a question when we were there, Norma was very quick to answer it. Having a group of 11 was challenging as many questions came up. When we were parked in the wrong space, Norma was most kind in letting us know. The condo itself was so clean, spacious and we always felt comfortable. Being in a gated area, we always felt extremely safe as well. The condo was convenient to stores, the rainforest, the kiosks in Luquillo, the ferries to Culebra, the bio-bay. In reading the other reviews, the trailers across the street weren't what we expected to see either, but big deal - they were across the street and didn't affect our feelings/opinions on the actual condo where we were staying. No matter where people stay, the "view" is in the eye of the beholder. People need to look past or beyond the powerlines/trailers to see the beauty surrounding them in this condo. Our entire group of 11 people didn't have anything negative to say about the condo, the area or the management. All of us would HIGHLY recommend this condo to rent and every condo needs to have a "Norma" managing their property. We loved the condo and how well kept up it is (and I am very picky and honest). Norma - a very BIG thank you for treating us with so much kindness and care! I will never, ever forget you and your kindness.
I definitely give the condo the highest rating and to Norma - I would give her more stars then what we saw in the beautiful sky when we sat on the balcony at the condo!
The House was nice in a safe secure condo. Overall we enjoyed our stay. However we felt the pictures were deceiving. The pool is very nice but much smaller than the pictures and there is no hot tub. The rental agreement stated T.V. In every room. One room did not have a T.V. And that is the same room that does not have a mirror, dresser, or closet so you are living out of your suitcase. There is a small night stand with drawers in every room but no dressers. Every room had a closet though except for the upstairs one. The way the condo is set up that 1 room is upstairs all to itself. Which is nice and extremely private if it wasn't for the fact that the only way to the large balcony is through that room. There is no door between the entrance to the balcony and the room upstairs. We had separate couples in each room so that was awkward. But if it's close family or kids up there it wouldn't matter. It is a very large balcony. Which brings me to the view. Very very disappointing! Whoever took the pictures were very clever with their angles. The view is of the condo parking lot and the rusty campers and camp ground area. This is NOT an exaggeration. Also because your up on a balcony the power lines are in your view. If you look over that ...is the beach. That beach is "dark" which means only certain times of the day the sun hits it and it isn't for very long. It looks like a lake instead of the pretty blue water in the picture. The beach itself also doesn't look anything like the pictures. It's unkept. We picked this place thinking we could just hang out here and swim at seven seas. Let's just say we did a beach everyday on our trip but had no desire to swim there. My biggest disappointment was the view. Not a big deal but the wi-if didn't work either. However, the house itself is very nice. If you want to be in an area close to lots of different activities like the rainforest, hiking, zip lining, bio bay, marinas with lots of excursions, ferry ride to other islands, and other cool stuff then this a good place to be. Remember Fajardo is not a fancy "resort" town . You will get more of a local flavor here. We really enjoyed a restaurant a mile up the road La Estacion. It was a gas station turned into a restaurant. Great atmosphere and fantastic food! Also, as the other reviews stated Norma always responds to you almost immediately. We had a few things that needed fixing and she called back right away and sent someone within a reasonable time.
Our family group of 10 stayed here for 10 nights and it was spectacular! The issues that came up were dealt with promptly. Norma gave us information on things to do and see there. It was close to a beach so those in the group who didn't want to go on the daily excursion could stay back and hang out at the beach or the pool. There was enough room for us all and the decks were a nice hang out place. Having all the TV's helped with all the different tastes. It's a great location for some of the best things to do on the island! We'd highly recommend staying here!
We enjoyed our stay. Norma did a great job of communicating and sending good information prior to our stay. The penthouse was very clean. Everything was provided as described as well as beach chairs and beach toys for the kids. The playground was great and pool is well designed for children to use. There is shopping close by and fast food too. The only problem we had was the internet did not work with code provided. It was not available during our stay even though I communicated the problem to management. We highly recommend this property, especially for family groups.
This new and luxurious penthouse is located across the street from a pristine Atlantic ocean water beach, Seven Seas. Packed with all the water sports you can imagine, as well as sight seeing, sea food restaurants, shopping malls and many more. Close to 'Las Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve', 30 minutes driving away from El Yunque Rain Forest, 10 minutes driving away from the ferry to islands like Culebra and Vieques and many more touristic spots! But most importantly this penthouse is as close to the beach as can be !
