The house has a wonderful view of Lake Michigan and is very accommodating for pets. The house also has an immense supply of kitchen utensils and appliances. Although - the microwave was very old and did not work very well.
The house overall has a mold/mildew smell so anyone with allergies would not make it an entire week there. Even for someone without really bad allergies by the end of the week I was stuffy. There is no air conditioner either so it was really damp when we stayed as well so it got very sticky (not hot, just sticky). Also bring fans if you want circulation of air as the windows don't really do much circulating and there is only one ceiling fan.
There is plenty of room in the home and the bedrooms are really nice. The mattresses are on the harder side and just your basic mattresses. The bathrooms are nice as well - nothing fancy but are nice. The upstairs bathroom door doesn't hook shut (standup shower).
The path down to the beach is really nice but may be difficult for older persons or persons with leg/knee problems. The beach was really nice and has few other people on it so it is nice and private. The house offers some beach chairs, umbrella, and some toys which is nice, but if you have more than a couple of people, plan to bring your own beach chairs.
A washer and dryer would have been a nice addition. The TV is very old and on the small side the Charter cable is good. The Wifi worked great throughout the entire home. The living furniture is very old - leather sofas that when you sit in you sink in so it can be hard to get up.
All in all, we rented the home for next year because it does have good access to everything else on M22 (Frankfort, Empire, bike trails, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City). Frankfort is a quick 20-minute drive to Glen's to the grocery store and Traverse City isn't too far for a day trip.
It has a wonderful view of Lake Michigan and weather is so nice being on the Lake - about 10 degrees cooler and always breezy. I have listed most of the inconveniences just so you are aware, but the view and access outweighed the inconveniences we had.
