This three bedroom home, situated in the small town of Jefferson, Iowa, is the birthplace and childhood home of distinguished pollster, George H. Gallup. The home is located just 45 minutes from Ames, IA – home of Iowa State University, 90 minutes from Des Moines, and walking-distance to downtown Jefferson – a true small town in America’s Heartland. The home has been recently renovated, the kitchen and bathrooms have been completely updated with modern and high-end fixtures and appliances, and the bedrooms and living rooms are fully furnished, making it perfect for a family vacation, a short- or long-term rental, and corporate or social events. Its unique octagonal shape, original quarter-sawn oak woodwork, studio furniture, and “secret” back staircase add to the sites special interest.
