Thanks for viewing this vacation home! My name is Nanie (rhymes with Connie) and I am the booking and property manager for Chigoe Creek Retreat & SD Vacation Rental Properties. I have 15+ years in the real estate and rental industry. This home is ran by a wonderful team which includes our Augusta property manager, who will meet and greet you at the property the day of your check in. This property manager will quickly show you some of the highlights of the property and answer any questions for you. Both myself and the property manager are available to offer local advice for places to eat and things to do. The other member of our team is our property engineer who knows the property like that back of his hand and is always available if he is needed during your stay.
NANIE INGRAM purchased this house in 2012
Augusta and the surrounding areas are unique because there isn't a lot of choice when it comes to overnight accommodations. During the Masters golf tournament week each year - many local people leave Augusta and rent out their homes to accommodate the need for additional overnight accommodations. We started to rent this house during Masters week and were bombarded with requests from vacationers that wanted to rent this home out at other times of the year due to it's great location, tranquil setting and storybook feel. This home and property is easy to fall in love with and a great extended stay alternative to a hotel if you are wishing to vacation, looking for a romantic getaway or have business or an event in Augusta and the surrounding CSRA.
This really is a story book home. You will feel it immediately when you drive up the cobblestone circular driveway and catch your first glance of the house hidden by the numerous trees and ornate landscaping. When you step out of your car, you will hear the babbling fountain in the front yard and be greeted with a smile by Ashley welcoming you to come inside. Once inside you will step into the grand 2 story entry, great room and dining room and winding staircase to the 2nd floor catwalk. No detail has been missed from the antique furnishings, intriguing artwork, comfortable beds and bedding, fluffy towels plus little extra treats we leave for each guest like fresh pastries. If you have come to relax, you will have no problem doing that with many places to lounge, read a book or take a long nap! If you have come to have fun, we have a billiards and game room with dual TVs, pool table and table tennis plus lots of board games, large in ground pool plus 5 acre stocked pond in the back yard for fishing. There is so much to do around the CSRA from golfing, boating, shopping, hiking, horseback riding, theater, antiquing, the list goes on and on. We strive to make your stay a vacation to remember!
We loved staying at Chigoe Creek Retreat. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful and the house even better! The beds were so comfy and we had lots of fun playing pool in the game room. We really enjoyed fishing on the gazebo and caught a variety of fish. Thank you for the golf course recommendation. The weather was better than our golf game but we had a great time. We hope to make the trip to Augusta soon and would definitely stay here again.
We LOVED our stay! Everything was super clean and organized. Leah was exceptionally helpful - the information provided before and during the stay was great!
The listing was exactly correct - the home was located on a beautiful lot and made us feel like we were out in the country. The neighbors horses did a little morning dance for us each day while we were out walking. The rooms were large, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. The kitchen was also user friendly with all the necessary cooking equipment easy to find.
The grounds were well groomed. The kids had a GREAT time fishing. We only wish the pool had been heated.
We have already recommended this property to friends.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with me and my family. All rooms in the home are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. We could not have picked a better location to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We spent much of our time fishing and relaxing near the pool as problems of city life and work melted away. Crappy, brim, and bass were all caught and released back to the pond, including a large mouth bass in the 10 pound range. We enjoyed the natural beauty of the property including an occasional squirrel, rabbit, and deer. We are grateful for the opportunity to make memories here. Sincerely – Mike Fisher
This was our 2nd stay at the Magnificent home this year. We have decided that we are going to make this an annual Family Vacation destination. The beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the pool was a great way to spend our days. This home is extremely well maintained and clean. I am happy to highly recommend this home to someone visiting the Augusta area.
Words cannot properly describe how beautiful and well maintained the house and property were during our stay. Both Ashley and Pete were very helpful and the house is just lovely and private. Will stay again!
This is a wonderful house, beautifully maintained and very comfortable indeed. It is alsoi exceptionally well equipped. We had a perfect stay there and would recommend it to anyone. We were also very well supported and assisted.
First I would like to say that Nanie and Ashley were the best. They answered any and all questions and went above and beyond to make our stay positively memorable. The home is lovely, clean, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need to cook in the kitchen. We spent most of our time in the beautiful pool. The temperature was perfect. The grounds of the home were manicured to perfection. Our privacy was totally respected. The rooms are huge and the beds/bedding very comfortable. I really cant say enough positive things regarding our stay. The weather during our 4 day stay was perfect. A little cloudy in the mornings but perfect by 11-12pm.Thank you for a wonderful experience, we will be returning :)
