Relax to the sights and sounds on 'The Nubble' in the community of York. Experience the ever changing seascape and fill your senses with the smell of fresh ocean air and the hint of seaweed in the morning mist. Get close to nature with a bird's eye view off the deck of gulls flying at eye level along the shore and watching everyday life on the water with lobstermen pulling traps, people sailing, kayakers in one with nature navigating rock exposures and people just having fun.

Historically, Sea Dreams is located in the hamlet of 'Concordville' in the community of York. This location offers a wonderful spot central to everything you want to do away from the cottage. One only has to venture out on foot to experience the colonial charm and idyllic ocean setting which transformed this once historic fishing village into a premier vacation spot since the early 1800's. A short walk from the cottage leads you to Short Sands Beach and the York Beach Town Center. The town offers leisure and adventure in the form of shopping, dining and seaside activities. Local proprietors add to the cultural experience with something for everyone from unique gifts, clothing, jewelry, home décor and beach accessories to the delight of homemade taffy, fudge and ice cream. Enjoy family fun at the Wild Kingdom Amusement Park and Children's Zoo. At the beach enjoy the uniqueness of Bowl-a-Rama and the open air arcade a step off the sand. For pure relaxation enjoy sun bathing and a stroll on the Boardwalk to partake in the sights and sounds of timeless fun. During the summer months be entertained by free weekend evening concerts at the Gazebo on the Green. For the explorer beach comb the shore for sea life, sea glass and interesting rocks.
Heading in the other direction takes you to the Cape Neddick Lighthouse. Once named 'Savage Rock', you will experience the everlasting 'first light' dating back to 1879. Or take a short cut across The Nubble to Long Sands Beach. This mile long beach offers more fun and beach related activities where you can rent paddle boards, surf boards and kayaks to take your own excursions on the water.
To venture out further hop in your car and tour the scenic countryside and surrounding communities. A short drive north along scenic Shore Road leads you to Ogunquit, a quaint little town with lots to do including a summer playhouse and picturesque Perkin's Cove with shops, marina and a walk on The Marginal Way. Head south to historic York Village. Visit the museums and churches of Old Yorke. Then, on to Kittery to visit outlet stores and Yummies for a taste of old fashion candies. On your way home, stop in York Harbor stop to purchase live lobsters right off the boat. Then back at Sea Dreams, with lobsters in tow and fresh vegetables, berries and pies purchased from the local farmers, gaze off the rocks while you wait for the dinner bell to ring.
