Main Street in beautiful, charming Village of Leland, short walk to village restaurants and shops, art galleries, boat harbor, and most beautiful beaches in the Great Lakes. Wineries and vineyards a bike ride away. All amenities. Great for large family and two-family vacations! Smoke alarms throughout.

New finished basement, toung and groove Pine walls and new carpet with bedroom, TV area and bath with laundry, new cedar deck with comfortable furniture and tables for outdoor dining. Private, Master bedroom suite on first floor w/Queen bed. Two bedrooms on second floor, one w/Queen bed and one with two twin beds. Full bathrooms on each level. Two queens, two twins,four bunk beds, two futon/daybeds.

L/R features entertainment system, large sofa and twin-recliner love seat. Large, dine-in kitchen with room for 10 around huge new table, plus extra leaf. Den with futon and comfortable IKEA chairs. Cable, DVD/VCR/CD entertainment system, two cable TVs, broadband/WiFi. New Washer/Dryer. Very comfortable home just a short walk to everything Leland offers. Sleeps two families in comfort.

Leland is ideally located near Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Northport, Suttons Bay and Traverse City. Dozens of wineries nearby, several within biking distance and all have tasting rooms. Take the ferry from Leland to the Manitou Islands. Deep lake fishing charters. Surrounded by cherry orchards, vineyards, farms and water. Boat and swim in Lake Michigan, Lake Leelanau and Grand Traverse Bay. Blue Ribbon Fly fishing nearby. Best biking area imaginable. No traffic lights. Bring your camera!

About The Owner

I love the outdoors, I spent summers as a kid in Northern Wisconsin, and traveled to every corner of the US. Leland is the best place I've ever seen for the greatest variety in outdoor activity. Leelanau Peninsula brings families together. Never boring, always fun. Every day is a new adventure if you seek it. Bring lots of friends and family and you will not run out of things to do. Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter, its all good. Definitely cooler and dryer than Kentucky, where we live. We play golf and boat in Spring, Summer and Fall; kayak, tennis and swim in summer; fish for trout, salmon and bass in spring, summer and fall; hike all year round; bike in spring, summer and fall; winery touring all year; snowmobiling in winter. There are even hunting preserves nearby for pheasant, partridge and quail. Also, hunting for big and small game in the nearby National Forests and Sleeping Bear Dunes in season. Lots of wild turkey, deer, woodcock and grouse on public lands.

We bought this home after years of vacationing in Leelanau County. We never run out of things to do, and always regret not having more time to spend up here. Everything we love to do or see is just minutes away. You don't even need a car! In Leland, we can walk anywhere--and we do. You can market shop every day, walk to the beach, library, parks, Fishtown, the Merc, school, and restaurants. You will ask yourself why you don't live here! Leland gets in your blood, and how many places can really do that for you?

What makes this house unique

Solitude, privacy, and a short walk to everything we want to enjoy, including shops, Fishtown and beaches. Walk to Fishtown along Lake Street while you look out over the bluffs of Lake Michigan. Our location leaves more time for fun, less time spent getting from here to there and back again. It makes for a very efficient, hassle-free vacation. The house is set up to accommodate two families or a very large group, with plenty of beds, convertibles, and bathrooms. Lots of dining space, indoors and out on the deck.

Just returned from a fabulous weekend in this great house in Leland,, we had 10 girls on a wine weekend.. it is our anual trip to the area and we will be back next year and will surely stay in this house again..It was very clean and the new carpet was wonderful!! The kitchen was large enough for more than one to cook and the deck was beautiful with the changing of the colors..
