Wonderful stay!
This was a great location to stay outside of New York City, but close enough to do everything we wanted there. Great location. Great view. Insanely close to transportation into the city. Nice amount of space. Incredibly helpful/understanding/professional owner.
We really enjoyed the building. There's a fantastic market on the ground floor of the building. We didn't get a chance to use the gym, but we checked it out and it was really nice. The kids play area off the gym was definitely a plus as we were traveling with our 9 month old. Loved having a full kitchen as well as washer/dryer.
We were the first renters to stay in this unit and when we arrived it smelled a bit of fresh paint, but that went away quickly.
Here are my only complaints. There is a lot of stuff (towels, cleaning supplies, etc.) that are stored on site which takes up a lot of the main room closet space. If you have multiple people, that can be a bit bothersome as people don't have a ton of places to put things. (we ended up using some of the shelves in the kitchen) The light switch in the bedroom isn't hooked to the lamp in the room. I'm sure it's just one of the other outlets that's switched, but we didn't figure it out. The dryer could use printed instructions on how to use. It's not entirely intuitive. more drawers than just the plastic ones in the bedroom closet would be nice. Maybe a side table by the bed with drawers would help.
Those are all me being very picky. Overall, we were very pleased with the property and will definitely stay there again if we return and have already recommended it to others who are planning a trip out.
It took us 10 minutes most days to get to the 9/11 museum via the Path and only 20 minutes more on the subway to Central Park. Really reasonable.
We also flew into JFK and with Public Transport were able to get from the airport to the apartment in approximately 45 minutes with very minimal walking with all our bags.
Highly, highly recommend this place and the owner was a wonderful host!
