Perfect Weekend!

Our family spent June 3-5, 2011 at this spacious condo on Lake Martin, and it was perfect weekend! The condo has two sliding doors that over look the pool and lake. In the photo provided, it is the bottom unit, with the living room in the left sliding doors and the master bedroom is the sliding doors to the right. There is a second bedroom with sliding glass doors, and an interesting space for daylight sun.
Upon arrival at the main gate to Stillwaters, we called the property caretakers and they promptly met us at the condo with a set of keys(they live in Stillwaters). The condo is located on the water in the gated Stillwater’s community, close to everything by boat (Stillwater's marina around the cove (boat gas, ice, nice stock of groceries, free air to blow up tube, etc..) , Chuck's marina for pizza and live music/karaoke @ night -10 min. by boat, Chimney rock - 20 minutes by boat, and several other lake accessible restaurants. We also took a nice boat ride one evening across the lake (50 minute boat ride) to the new Springhouse restaurant, where they golf cart you from the dock up to the restaurant (make an early, 6-6:30p, reservation a week in advance so you can boat back to the condo before it’s too dark). As well, you get a sunset cruise back to the condo. We also grilled out one evening on the provided charcoal grill, listening to music while the kids swam in the pool. There are plenty of large coves for tubing, skiing, fishing or just boating around right by the condo.
This condo has high ceilings, was very clean with new furnishings(nice size flat screen TV in LR and small wall mounted flat screen in master BR), and had great air conditioning to get out of the heat. The bathrooms are very spacious with 2 sinks in the master bath with large Jacuzzi tub/shower. There is also a full-size washer and dryer provided. We used ice from refrigerator ice maker to help keep our cooler iced. It is a nice 30 second walk to boat dock covered by shade trees. Our boys also had a great time fishing off the docks.
The condo is located right in front of the swimming pool, and we only saw a few people using it the entire time we were there, so it seemed like it was our private pool. We rented a pontoon boat from Lakeside marina(15 minute boat ride) for the entire weekend for $500 along with a tube and spent close to $180 in well spent fuel. The provided boat slip was also a very nice.
I would highly recommend this unit!
