Cozy, Comfortable and Clean

Four guys in our fifties were on a weekend trip to Duluth to get some golfing in and stayed at this house. It is not a five star location, but it was clean and comfortable. It has three bedrooms with double beds and one of the bedrooms has a twin bed in the closet. We made our breakfasts there but ate out otherwise. The kitchen had everything we would have needed for basic cooking and coffee in the am (bring your own coffee though). I would recommend this house for people who are looking for a house rather than a hotel. If we need a place again next year, we would consider staying there again.

Had a great time at this location. Had five ladies along, everyone had lots of room to sleep. Nice large dining room table for us to gather around and play games. It was cold and rainy when we went, so we didn't venture a walk down to the Canal or anything, but the drive was very quick. Plenty of fresh towels, clean shower, plenty of street parking, great CD collection, nice clean kitchen, etc. Communication with the owner was easy and quick, security/damage deposit refunded quickly after our stay was over. Overall a great location for 5 ladies living it up in Duluth!!

We had a great experience. This house was just right for us. It was in a great location, close to everything. The beds are comfy, especially the queen-sized bed in the front bedroom. Lots of clean, fluffy, white towels. Plenty of extra sheets, blankets, quilts - Duluth gets cold Plenty of dishes. Fridge, toaster, and microwave were fine - we didn't try the oven. Amazing, eclectic CD collection. Nice assortment of books, too. The house was very clean when we arrived. Plenty of comfy chairs for sitting around the big dining room table to talk and listen to music at night. The key code on the front and the locks on the back door made the house seem safe and secure. The heating and air conditioning systems looked fine - the furnace kicked on at night when it got into the 40's. This house is very close to the whole foods coop grocery store and Last Chance Liquor (across the street from the grocery store). We liked this house a lot and would stay here again. Here is the advice we would give for those considering renting this house in the future: Be aware that the outside front stairs have no railing and that the indoor stairs are steep and have no railing part of the way. If anyone in your party is a bit wobbly (young or old), this is not the house for you. Having the bathroom upstairs was nice for us given that we all knew we'd have had to use the bathroom in the night. We knew there was only one bathroom and it worked all right for us. I knew there was no internet access in the house but I hadn't mentioned this to my grad student daughter - she spent an hour or two at the Barnes and Noble at the mall doing an online homework assignment, so it worked out fine, but you might want to make sure everyone in your group knows there is no internet. We didn't turn the TV on during our stay, but I noticed there is no cable TV - you might want to bring a few DVDs. No dishwasher - you might want to bring paper plates if you plan to eat in much. We ate out all weekend, except for coffee and toasted breakfast bagels. My advice for your Duluth adventure? See a show at The Duluth Playhouse and have a Sunday brunch at Pizza Luce, especially if the idea of a Bloody Mary buffet appeals to you. Visit the Fitger's Brewery complex's shops and restaurants. This complex could be considered to be in walking distance if you are very fit - the one-mile walk home is all up hill. This house makes a great home base for having fun in Duluth. Highly recommended!!!

We had 7 people stay comfortably here. The whole place was very clean and was true to the descriptions provided. There were little extra touches here and there-the CD collection was awesome, the towels were soft, and there were plenty of pillows and blankets for our crew. We loved our stay in the little blue house!
