This newly remodeled vacation home is a quaint expanded cape with peekaboo views of Barrells Mill Pond. It is in a quiet neighborhood, a stones throw from the Wiggly Bridge and a short walk to the York Harbor Beach, historic York Village, the town docks and marina. The house has just been remodeled with a relaxing modern beach theme, complete with a new kitchen and master bedroom with en suite bathroom (2013). There is plenty of room for 6 people with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, family room, and kitchen. There is a shady backyard with newly installed patio with views to Wiggly Bridge and a small front porch that comfortably seats 4 people. The master bedroom has a queen bed with two twins in each of the other bedrooms.
York is a popular beach community with history, charm and accessibility. First settled in 1624 and the first incorporated city in America, the area offers a myriad of fun things to do including relaxing on the beach, fishing, sightseeing and shopping. It is home to the John Hancock Wharf and Mark Twain's Summer home and is an area which still has architectural examples from the Gilded Age, particularly the Shingle style.
Served by 3 international airports, Boston, MA (75 minutes), Manchester, NH (60 minutes), and Portland, ME (40 minutes). C&J Trailways hourly service from Portsmouth to Boston South Station and the Logan International Airport as well as service to NYC.
