3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Shady Patios, Close To The Beach (Sleeps 6)

A peaceful end-of-row one level villa in a well kept garden complex on the eastern outskirts of the town of Palau. The house sleeps six, with two double bedrooms, and one 2 bedded bunk room, and has two bathrooms, one en-suite to the master bedroom. With a small, well fitted kitchen and airy living room, it is surrounded on three sides by a private and fully enclosed flourishing garden. The main patio, off the living room, provides a cool, shady sitting and dining area. There is also a sunroof, ideal for the evening 'aperitif' while watching the sun go down over the horizon. The view is over the complex's well tended gardens to the sea and the off-shore islands. The sea, with coves and beaches is only 5 minutes walk away. This is a perfect place for dogs and/or children as the garden is fully enclosed. The house comes fully equipped, with a dishwasher and washing machine, and in the garden there is a stone built BBQ.

There is also a 2 car dedicated parking space.

Why Francesca chose Palau

This has been our family holiday home for many years, and we have furnished and equipped it with an eye to comfort and easy living. There are comfortable chairs and sofas for reading, sun loungers for sunbathing, and good mattress. We are all keen cooks and the kitchen equipment reflects this. We have spent many evenings entertaining friends and cooking on the BBQ. The house has many windows and patio doors and is always cool (and no mosquitoes!). Palau is a 15 mins walk away, and walking into town to do the daily shopping, buy the newspaper and have a coffee is a constant delight. Walking to the beach is also easy, either to the cove just below the house for a morning swim, or to the larger beaches nearby. Having a car is not essential, as there are coaches from Olbia airport, and the house is within waling distance of beaches, shops, restaurants, bars, etc. But if you have a car you will be able to explore the area, which offers much to do (including kite and surfing) and stunning scenery. When you arrive at the house you will find a booklet with information about the area, places to go, shop, eat and drink.

Palau is a pleasant and welcoming small seaport, with a marina, many restaurants and bars, an elegant main street with shops, delis, and excellent butchers and fishmongers. There is also a weekly farmers' market. The town has a number of beautiful beaches, all within walking distance from the house. The house is on the outskirts of the town and faces the archipelago of La Maddalena, a number of small islands that form part of a protected marine park. The area offers a range of scuba diving experiences, snorkelling, and boat tours. West of Palau is the resort of Porto Pollo, with its world famous kite and surfing beaches.
