About Marc Biscayart
Thank you for stopping by...
My name is Marc, and I am the owner of this historic local landmark property.
This property was bought by my father in the 1960's as a vacation home for my parents, my brother and myself.
I was born in Paris and lived most of my life there, although I had the opportunity to study in Boston after high school and did my military service in the United States. I do live very close to Paris now, have no pets but 4 daughters.
Marc Biscayart purchased this house in 1964
Why Marc Biscayart chose Ahetze
This historic water mill means a lot to me : it is a very valuable part of my own legacy as it belonged to my parents and I have numerous joyful memories there. Now I get to enjoy staying there and savoring the Basque country area when the property is not rented, relaxing there with my youngest daughter, my wife as well as my grandchildren.
This region is a beautiful region of France, which has been very well protected over the years and fortunately located between the mountains and the ocean.
I hope you will also have the opportunity to enjoy what this authentic area has to offer.
What makes this house unique
My father bought this property when I was a young man.
I truly love this place as it is located in a peaceful area, away from the tourist crowds and traffic. It showcases many historic features such as the glass top water well and the old wheat grinding machines located in the entertainment room, the fireplace, the typical Basque solid color painted shutters, the covered outdoor space where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine while the river runs under the water mill...
