Three Bedrooms, large master bedroom, large fully equipped eat in kitchen, one bathroom, three season sunroom overlooking the lake with eating area, washer/dryer/utility room, two tv's with dvd player and dvd's, board games, fire pit, gas and charcoal grill, private pier, large boat lift. Great hiking, biking and boating! Beautiful pier to sit and enjoy the lake view. Great swimming for adults and children.
I grew up on Green Lake during the summer months of my life. Once my husband and I started a family we wanted the same experience for our children. Our children all spent their summers in this house and are now bringing their families. We have always wanted to focus on the beauty of the lake and nature, keeping the house cute but simple and user friendly. We encourage families to have fun and enjoy The North Wing, just as we have all of these years.
Patti Morrell purchased this cottage in 1986
Green Lake has always provided me and then my husband and family, a chance to enjoy so much of nature, pure beauty and simple living and just a bunch of good fun. From food to water sports to rainy days on the porch and dinners on the boat, Green Lake delivers. Fresh Trout for breakfast, sunning on the pier, swimming , sailing and a sunset kayak adventure...then a big family BBQ and bonfire. Green Lake is the perfect back drop for forming memories and bringing families together. It always delivers.
We love this property because it is situated in some of the best waters for skiing and sailing. The little turn the bank takes around our property allows some shelter from prevailing winds. We also have the best sunrises and sunsets. The pier allows for star gazing to sunbathing to watching the sun come up and seeing the lake come alive. We loved the simplicity of the cottage. We have kept it updated and uncomplicated thus allowing activity and nature and family to be the central focus.
This property exceeded expectations. The photographs do not really do justice to this cottage. This is an old-style, bungalow cottage, as shown in the photos, but it is VERY charmingly decorated and VERY clean and well maintained. All sorts of details have been thought of, to make your stay comfy and pleasant. There are interesting books, good magazines, and lots of information and brochures about Green Lake to read; there are fun cds (movies) to watch on a good, new television; nice new chairs on the dock for lounging. The sheets and other linens are fresh and clean, the choice of textiles around the house is pleasing, and all cushions and curtains are new and fresh. There are lovely paintings and other colorful touches throughout the house. The kitchen is well equipped. If you forgot your shampoo, some nice toiletries are provided, just in case. The feeling is more like being in a well-maintained bed and breakfast rather than a rental, because it really is very charming. More importantly, everything "works": the weekend we were there the weather was chilly and we were happy that it was no problem getting the thermostat and heat to come on and warm up the house a little after a rain shower. The owner is very responsive, and clearly loves this well-maintained property. The neighbor was there during our stay and a pleasant, lovely person. I recommend this property. Thank you, Patti!
