Elegant two bedroom/60m2 apartment in Plaça de Les Olles, one of the most unspoiled pedestrian squares in Barcelona's renowned "El Born".

The Born is the historic area between Barcelona's city park (Ciutadella) and the Gothic Quarter and is home to the famous Picasso Museum. The best tapas in the city line the narrow streets of El Born, juxtaposed amongst cosy cafes and exclusive boutiques.

Everything is just a short walk away: Santa Maria del Mar, one of the famous gothic cathedrals of Old Barcelona is virtually on the doorstep; the Port Vell, Barcelona's Old Port, is just a five minute stroll away, halfway to the beaches, bars and restaurants of Barceloneta. From the Port Vell, take the cable car to the Spanish Village on Montjuich where you will also find the Miro Museum. Las Ramblas, the colorful tree-lined promenade which connects the Colombus Column to Plaza Catalunya, is only a 10 minute walk.

The apartment is on the third floor of a small modern building with elevator. It is fully equipped to provide every comfort. You will feel right at home with cable TV, DVD, WiFi, fully equipped kitchen including Nespresso machine, washer/dryer/iron and ironing board. Fully air conditioned throughout. We even provide a computer for you to check your emails.

The living room balcony overlooks the colorful pedestrian square with its cafes and boutiques. And, best of all, the two double bedrooms are located at the back of the apartment, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep.

Getting around is a breeze: there are two metro stations within a five minute walk; the Touristic Bus stops just off the Plaza and taxis and busses are plentiful, allowing easy access to the airport and train station.

The description was right on as were the photos!! Spotlessly clean and really enjoyed the welcome gift of chocolates, fruit and wine. Diana, Rachel and Brad were all extremely helpful with lots of info and answered all of our questions-- Lovely people. The location was wonderful, within walking distance of most everything with lots of little restaurants and shops in the area!! Would return to this apartment if in Barcelona again!

While looking for a place to stay in Barcelona for our family of 4 (including 2 toddlers), this apartment was the perfect choice between the excellent reviews and central location. The apartment is clean, modern, and spacious...by European standards. It included a variety of Barcelona guide books which proved extremely useful and the central location was perfect for walking around town or hopping on the bus or metro.

Diana and Rachel were extremely pleasant, helpful, and easy to deal with. We highly recommend this apartment and would gladly rent again if in Barcelona.

General note for traveling to Barcelona, we found that many places did not accept American Express. Make sure to travel with a Visa or Mastercard, or have plenty of cash to cover your entire trip, to prevent hunting for a Western Union like we did.

We stayed 4 nights in this apartment with our two young children. The apartment was very clean, quiet, and safe. The instructions provided by the rental agency for finding local restaurants and stores were very helpful. The neighborhood is a great location for walking through the old city center and down by the water. The location is also convenient for taking public transportation and easy access to the airport. We would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend this apartment to friends.

Great location , right in the middle of the old section . Short walking distance to the Rambla , Gotic area and beach . Thirty minute walk to the Gaudi Cathedral . The flat was very nice and was over a plaza that had a couple of good restaurants . Everything worked well and the managers were very good about meeting us and getting us settled . GREAT APARTMENT and we would definitely rent it again . The pictures in VRBO were accurate .
